Re: Original KQ3 Worst/Best Parts (SPOILERS)

Hmmm, I thought that the ship takes around 10-15 minutes until reaching Daventry's offshore. I was thinking, maybe, on the first (and perhaps including 2nd round) of those "25 minutes" taking cares of every preparation needed for the ship until daventry parts, this (of course) also include...

Re: Original KQ3 Worst/Best Parts (SPOILERS)

Well, some of us may already know that when the time was up (Manannan returning), just make sure to put everything back to it's place and shove everything under the bed. And the process will be repeated like the first time, doing chores and occasionally get a little rebellious for some spanking. :lo...

Huh... never encountered that. Though, I usually speed-up playing within the castle. It's creepy.
The other day I played this at my Palm Treo 650 using the latest ScummVM and it's still creepy as heck, with no lights on. :p

Re: A brief account of KQ3 Redux' history

yes. I also reckon that. At least the spell making are much more easier there. That reminds me... I haven't play the KQ2 SCI remake (not the great AGDI ones, which I already played it more than once). Guess I have to hunt the links now. Edit: I just realized it: didn't you make this, MI? I thought i...

Re: Original KQ3 Worst/Best Parts (SPOILERS)

really? I find the eagle to be quite frequent for dropping the feathers. Especially love it when used for killing the giant spider. Although... I'm quite agree with that big rock. It was an obscure and confusing matter. Only for much later on did I find that it was actually has quite large space beh...

Re: What makes a game replayable?

regardless the genre, an original-captivating storyline with amazing music libraries always makes me want to revisits those, even if I already know it by heart. Original gameplay also came as another bonus. My fave was based on great combination of mystery with classical melodies that was integrated...

Re: Original KQ3 Worst/Best Parts (SPOILERS)

Back in those days, I really hate the result of spell creation gone wrong. It was quite frightful, even have nightmares about it. Traversing through the mountain was as scary as the spell creation too. The only joy I had was killing the 3-headed dragon and the following endings, I really like the ac...

Re: *SUPER SPOILER* The biggest easter egg in the game.

the graffiti, while it could gives some cue, was not really necessary. The reason was that I'm playing using simplistic alleyway, which kinda eliminates some easter egg as well as graffiti reading. There are several can be read though on later days, but it was not really useful since it is impossibl...

Re: *SUPER SPOILER* The biggest easter egg in the game.

From the sound of your post it looks like you already found it. I checked, btw, and it's not possible to eat healing pills in battle in the original QFG2. You just get a "don't have time" message. I think, btw, that only QFG1 kills you for having 0 stamina in battle, unless the battle is ...

Re: *SUPER SPOILER* The biggest easter egg in the game.

Are you really sure, Erpy? 'cause I think I'm not mistaken. I think it healed all the way to max, and given that it has the first successful pizza eating there. Maybe if it does that the second time or so on would have less healing. Well anyway, that's that. I've beaten it anyway, and the only thing...

Re: *SUPER SPOILER* The biggest easter egg in the game.

yeah... i guess it did kinda ruined it, although the ability to completely heal itself to full health was really cheap. It is really breaking your nerve when it's HP was about 10% and I'd forgot about the swallow tactics that when it executes the pizza eating, it completely heals its health to max. ...

Re: *SUPER SPOILER* The biggest easter egg in the game.

finally managed to beat it. And the funny thing was that letting the hero being engulfed was a must to avoid it heals completely, and it must be done over and over again after it tries to replenish health. Other than that it's a really tedious footwork, too bad can't even use combo on it. If I could...

A couple of times? I have played this game dozens of times, I've never stop playing it since I got it (and that's back in 1991!). I have literally hundreds of flight hours with QFG2, that's the reason I think I'd be a wonderful beta tester for this game, I've tried everything that's possible, I've ...
