Wouldn't it be better to submit articles about adventure gaming to the Wikipedia, where they'll be accessible to a larger audience? Of course, articles that aren't of general interest (details about specific AGS games etc.) would be very appropriate for a more specialized wiki like this. It's a cool...

I didn't like it. The art style was trying to be Broken Sword but with less talented artists, and the puzzles were contrived. And although it is set in the US, it was painfully obvious that it was made by someone who has never been to America.

Yes, on LCD screens there is a difference. LCD screens (unlike CRTs) have a native resolution, since the pixels are physically part of the screen. That's the only resolution they can really display at. Any other (lower) resolutions are achieved by smoothly stretching the image to fit the resolution ...

In the setup application for AGS games, there's a handy little checkbox that allows you to set 640x400 or 640x480 resolution, using pixel-doubling. Even if you can run 320x200 resolution, it might make it be sharper.

Re: Answers

Sorry, PC; the Ender novels are great, but not my favorite. Snarky, you want to pick one in particular as your guess? Alright, I'll go with the one I like best, Banks' Culture series. Though personally, I rate Ursula Le Guin's Hainish cycle (The Dispossessed, The Left Hand of Darkness etc.) higher....

Favorite SF series? Some high-probability possibilities:

Asimov - Future History (Robots/Foundation)
Simmons - Hyperion Cantos
Banks - Culture

As for Brian's Dune books, I think Penny Arcade expressed it best:

I am also a big Dune fan. Not sure I could read God Emperor without starting from the beginning of the series, though.

Have any of your read DOON?

Okay people, please calm down. QFG fan seems to be stepping on everybody's toes, but he really hasn't said anything offensive without at least putting a smiley or a "ha-ha just kidding" beside it. Hey, I like the little dude! If there's one thing I appreciate in a legal minor, it's a maso...

The legend of Solomon imprisoning and converting demons is not restricted to Islam. For instance, it's found in the apocryphal Testament of Solomon. As to what religion he converted them to, Islam sees all of the Jewish prophets, as well as Jesus, as messengers from God. So in that sense, they were ...

No, I just want to mock you because it's so damn easy.

You made this about you. If you hadn't been proclaiming your own superiority at every turn, people might have been willing to listen to your point.

Yes, clearly the whole endeavor is meaningless, clearly no one could possibly get any enjoyment out of the game, clearly no one could be even mildly impressed by KQ1VGA. After all, it has one (non-fatal, easily avoidable) bug. Why bother indeed? Jeez, the AGDs sure are an embarrassment to the fangam...

Or, as experts believe, destroyed in the late nineties.

It's a DOTT-style game that's in beta. It was profiled in one of the last issues of The Inventory. Look it up on the AGS Forums.

I tried playing it, and it looks great, but there are enough bugs for me to wait for the final version.

I think (hope) Rambaldi meant hysterical as in funny. I made another banner earlier, but it's less amusing and probably came across as offensive. It's here if you want to have a look, though.
