Of course, articles that aren't of general interest (details about specific AGS games etc.) would be very appropriate for a more specialized wiki like this. It's a cool...

Yes, on LCD screens there is a difference. LCD screens (unlike CRTs) have a native resolution, since the pixels are physically part of the screen. That's the only resolution they can really display at. Any other (lower) resolutions are achieved by smoothly stretching the image to fit the resolution ...

Re: Answers
Sorry, PC; the Ender novels are great, but not my favorite. Snarky, you want to pick one in particular as your guess? Alright, I'll go with the one I like best, Banks' Culture series. Though personally, I rate Ursula Le Guin's Hainish cycle (The Dispossessed, The Left Hand of Darkness etc.) higher....

Favorite SF series? Some high-probability possibilities:
Asimov - Future History (Robots/Foundation)
Simmons - Hyperion Cantos
Banks - Culture
As for Brian's Dune books, I think Penny Arcade expressed it best:

The legend of Solomon imprisoning and converting demons is not restricted to Islam. For instance, it's found in the apocryphal Testament of Solomon. As to what religion he converted them to, Islam sees all of the Jewish prophets, as well as Jesus, as messengers from God. So in that sense, they were ...

No, I just want to mock you because it's so damn easy.Duckzilla wrote:You guys want to demonize me simply because I have an opinion that you don't agree with.
You made this about you. If you hadn't been proclaiming your own superiority at every turn, people might have been willing to listen to your point.

Duckzilla, you're right. I've had it with this place. Can I please join the forum you're moderating devoted to the (100% bug free) adventure games you've made? PS: You are the greatest. I wanna be just like you when I grow up. Maybe you can tell me more about these higher standards you set for yours...

Yes, clearly the whole endeavor is meaningless, clearly no one could possibly get any enjoyment out of the game, clearly no one could be even mildly impressed by KQ1VGA. After all, it has one (non-fatal, easily avoidable) bug. Why bother indeed? Jeez, the AGDs sure are an embarrassment to the fangam...

JLM5, I dig the backgrounds, but I think these GUI icons aren't up to the same standard. Here's a few comments on things you might want to fix. Walk - I'll skip this one since BT did a paintover. It's actually the one I like the most, since the little dude looks so funky. Look - The strong colors ma...

I take it it's a straight jump then. (straight up) Have you tried something like [...] Perhaps this kind of thing will work if you fiddle around with the numbers a bit. I can't check if it really works, but it may look better than your method of jumping when tweaked right. I played around with this...

I think (hope) Rambaldi meant hysterical as in funny. I made another banner earlier, but it's less amusing and probably came across as offensive. It's here if you want to have a look, though.

So I guess it's about time to start the countercampaign, eh? I have banners and everything. http://members.lycos.co.uk/snarkibartfast/banlf.jpg :lol Just kidding LF. And thanks for MM Deluxe! I've tried playing the original a couple of times, but the interface pissed me off with the excessive number...
