Betrayal at Krondor IS in VGA. And it's an RPG. And it's in 3D. Are you saying you want to turn it into a point-and-click VGA adventure game? That would pretty much ruin the game, in my opinion.

I downloaded that video back when it was first on the KQ9 forums. Whatever codec they used, the video is totally not synced with the audio. Anyone else have that problem? The modelling of all the classic King's Quest locations still impressed me to no end, but the characters, their animations and mo...

Speaking of covers, does anyone else remember the AGDI CD cover contest that Quest Studios ran, but which never had any winners (as far as I recall)? I remember entering that, and having the advantage of using design sketches to make up my entries. As for DVD covers, I believe they did exist at one ...

Ignore this post if you wish and develop the game anyway. Programming is more important. Final art can be done any time. I love this thing where people say "blah blah blah and you can ignore me if you want but so there!" :lol Generally, if you don't want people to ignore your post, you mi...

Perhaps they will finally finish the never released Royal Quest 1 & 2 games.  This would make two surprises that would please most fans of the remakes. There were never 2 Royal Quest games planned, only 1. Hmmm... perhaps it's re-make of MOE, but in KQ1-6 style. This thought has always interest...

A KQ MMORPG would be perfect? I think not.....that style already destroyed MOE.
I've long envisioned a Sierra-esque MMORPG. If it was done right, it would be amazing. Obviously MOE was nothing like such a game should be... it's not even worth bringing up in any such discussion.

Was it in an original box? Sealed? Did it come with The Adventurer magazine? In other words, did it seem to be an original copy?

It's likely to be the only fictional book about Adventure Games ever published, so that makes it unique.
Unless you count the KQ novels and the Sierra Companions that gave hints by telling the story of the game like a novel.

It may be trying to play the opening video segment and not having the right codec.

I assume you already did, but have you tried just hitting escape or clicking the mouse to see what happens?

Also, did you try the option that lets you specify to run the game in a window instead of in full screen?

When I used this program as a beta build, it opened many VGA games and you could extract resources without too much trouble, excepting occasional crashes. But there are some VGA games it wouldn't open at all. I hope that someone will take on the project of working on this utility to make it the ulti...

Well, I was amused and entertained by the colours!

I like demos. A screenshot demo of QFG2VGA would be pretty cool. I mean, even if it just collected the screenshots we've already seen, that would be cool. You know, have a bit of music and have a little bit of animation.

Compare the file size of your files to the file sizes listed on the game pages on our website. If your file sizes do not closely match, then your files didn't download properly or were corrupted during download. If that is the case, I suggest you use a download manager such as GetRight. This will al...

The download link seems to work fine for me. We use rotating servers. You probably have to delete the file and clear your cache before a re-download will work properly. In IE, go to Tools / Internet Options and under General select Delete Files. Other browsers should have similar options. You may wi...

I wouldn't make the assumption that this question is only about Al. I would have. Because Himalaya Studios is still a small start up, we simply don't have the advanced funds required to print boxes and goodies from the outset, when there's no way to determine how well the game might sell. LOL, ther...

We have not supported translations for King's Quest 2 VGA because of 1) puns that rely on exacting usage of the English language and because of 2) timed sequences with dialogue that rely on the length of the dialogue for the timing, which will vary when translated.

If you found a brand spanking new Sierra game, in a DVD case... Wow I have to be reading this wrong. Most people would only spend up $20 for a BRAND NEW adventure game? Well, also, I would probably have doubts as to what I was seeing in the first place. I'd see it on the shelf and say to myself, &q...
