There was no real communist country, as far as I know. Communism was the utopic goal all the socialist countries were striving to achieve. Socialism was the first step towards communism, it was supposed to be a transition towards the brightest future of them all! Communist countries only named thems...

Soul and I (especially I) are the living proof that custom titles have nothing to do with post count. The administrators decide on their own, whom to invite to the exclusive "custom title lounge" hidden forum. :p

Congratulations, Swift!  :D

I wonder if the Disney "bastardisation", as someone here called it, of famous fairy tales is only typical for cartoons and movies. One may think that the makers of the movies decided to tone down the more brutal elements of the stories, because those would have a (putatively) stronger effe...

We trick animals with similar machines, which are called "Skinner boxes". The slot machine has been known as the human equivalent of the Skinner box, because even though the machine operates at random (well, not always :p), some people develop "gambling tics" hoping to be able to...

I agree that the thing is rigged... I also hit 11300 relatively easily, even got the jackpot by getting the triple Erasmus, but I got a total of about 6 or 7 (I should have counted the exact number) of triple Ad Avises... Those odds were quite high. Good thing that there is no penalty for that combi...

Links from "Creation Science Evangelism"? Puh-lease, you could do better than that to support your point... Also, a scientist would never be explaining anything from the Biblical point of view. However, Charles, I have a hunch this could become the second thread of yours that gets deleted....

Well, I could have looked it up on the internet and then pretended I knew the answer, but I would rather not do it... I don't deal with carbon-dating or any other radioactive isotope dating in my work and studies, so I don't really know.
*goes to look up the half-life of radioactive carbon isotope*

I used to really like most of the Disney films... Especially The Lion King, Aladdin and more recently, Finding Nemo. The music in the movies is actually my favorite part.
However, what they did to Andersen's "The Little Mermaid" for example is abhorrent...

You called? ;) Actually, Takari pretty much pointed out the reasons cloning a dinosaur would not be possible at this stage of development of the biological sciences... You would need a fully preserved, live nucleus (or a manufactured one, which is still science fiction nowadays) and an egg cytoplasm...
