Re: So I did die all those times in Quest for Glory 1 . . .

Yeah - i figured it was an implementation decision - but i just thought it was funny given the message you see when looking at the saurus's reflection. We adventure gamers are always on the look out for clues for things, even when they are not really there. :rollin

So I did die all those times in Quest for Glory 1 . . .

I'm afraid my hero is undead . . . the dervish has a reflection in the Oasis . . . trusty (but cowardly) Roget the saurus has a reflection in the Oasis (which explicitly says means he is not a vampire) . . . but I don't have a reflection in the Oasis. Obviously this brings up some questions about th...

Re: anyone noticed aziza looks like liv tyler?

Maybe a little... But i concur with LateBlt - one of the few (very few) disappointing things about the remake is that Aziza and Dinarzad (and I will throw in Zayishah) weren't as hot as I always imagined . . . (although Dinarzad appears to be based on Mae West, who some of her quotes are based off, ...

Re: *spoiler* Katta Tail Inn Key and honor among theives

Yeah - i missed that in my paladin play though (since it was my first one and didn't even think of it). not a big deal since i had max honor (i didn't span anyway - was just polite throughout the whole game). But it is kinda ironic that in my thief play though i returned the key (yes, i just didn't ...

Re: Trouble accepting aziza's tea

Heya! First, a note to say how amazed I am at this game. Everything about the way you have done it is perfect, and is exactly the thing I've been waiting for for about 10 years now. Secondly, onto the reason for my post. I am having a great deal of trouble in chatting to Aziza, and, in particular, ...

Re: Which of these is cheating?

Like many people on this board, I decided to play through the entire QFG series from start to finish shortly before QFG2 came out. However, I decided that I would try and avoid cheating on my quest for glory. Because of that, I avoided using the Magic Mushroom glitch in QFG1, and I avoided maxing o...

Re: Easter Eggs

Like the SCI version, the rusty nail only shows up in the Raseir prison scene if you didn't get the Sapphire Pin in Shapeir and you're a thief who has no other means to pick the lock. You have to search the cell to find it. Well I think that is the way it supposed to work. However, to warm up for t...

Re: What happened to Pick Up?

How come there's no pick up option in the inventory window like the QFG1-VGA remake? I remember you could throw daggers in the original and then just pick them up. Why was the option removed? I was disappointed the parser didn't like the following: -pick up Dinarzad -pick up Zayishia -pick up Aziza...

Re: Easter Eggs

I've found a bunch of stuff that probably didn't make it into the final release of the game... some things you can't look at (just says it looks as it appears), others I don't know what to do with... like the rusty nail, and ornate scimtars ; And there are 2 brass jars, and more than one picture th...

Keep in mind that in the remake wishing for weapon use/strength, agility/dodge, parry/vitality will unlokc *additional* combinations for the endgame fights.

Re: Did anyone know this?

Ho-ly....Man, now if it were only possible to dual-wield, I'd be in hybrid heaven. :eek Here's the thing, though, if one were foolish enough to say, leave the shield in Shapeir before going to Rasier, would that lack of shield carry into QFG3? You can't leave your shield in Shapier - before you lea...

good thing I chose classic! What time of day does it need to be? Any clues on the area of the alley? Check the graffiti - it will give you clues. If it doesn't click on it again in a slightly different spot (the text is smaller than what you actually see written on the wall). It is very particular....

This might seem like a stupid question, since it doesn't seem like anyone else has this problem, but how exactly do I export my file from this to QFG3? I can't find the actual .sav file anywhere, even using the search function, and I can't find any instructions on how to do this. I'm running Vista,...

1. Shapeir Sand Dome OR Saurus Foot Trash Can - Ali Chica You can get both, you need to walk on and off the screen until he announces them in his text. E.g. when he says something like "Buy your mother a genuine Saurus foot trash can" he'll have that one in stock. If, by the end of day 3,...

Not all are at 250 weapon skill. 250 parry gives you a whirling slash after you parry. Re: Bugs + paladin question.

Personally, the peeping bit affecting paladinhood rubs me the wrong way for a couple of reasons: 1. It feels like an easter egg to me, and those aren't supposed to affect gameplay this much. 2. The connection between the x-ray glasses and the peeping isn't made all that clear in the first place. I'...

Re: The one serious flaw of the new combat system

I liked QFG1VGA's battle system. It had more strategy (or at least timing) than its EGA predecessor, or QFG2EGA for that matter. It was just the weapon master who was a pain, but that was more due to its technical implementation. Heh, that said, I often used to fantasize about how I'd design the ba...
