QFG1 VGA ending

Okay, I just replayed through my old copy of QFG1 VGA in order to get an export ready for QFG2 VGA. Unfortunately, when I "beat" the game and end up in the baron's throne room with all the programmers, the game just sits there. How do I get to where I export my character? I know I've done ...

Yes, exactly. Although, I'm telling you, it's not based on luck at all. It's based on your current amount of dinars. And I'm also telling you that there is no way you can ever get to 15,000 dinars... Agreed. I played for about 40 minutes and decided that I was *not* having any fun at all. If I find...

I'd like to cast my vote and echo what someone else said in another thread: I'd love to hear the "interlude" theme. :)

I think you've mentioned this as well, but will they be mp3, ogg vorbis, or something else?

QFG2VGA music

So, perhaps I missed this, but who's working on the music for the remake? I was just browsing through Quest Studios, and I realized I'd love to hear what's happening with the remake's music. Perhaps this could be an idea for the next webpage news update...

Oh, I know. It just seems odd. Sure, back in the heyday there were a number of popular Wild West adventure games, but it just strikes me as odd that so many of the new and remade games that have been worked on recently are also Wild West.

I know it's not a standard 2D Sierra-style adventure game, but Myst IV is a blast. My wife and I have been playing through it together (she really only likes to play adventure games). It corrects a lot of the things that made previous Myst games somewhat difficult (including a built-in hint system)....

Odd. I install QFG5, install the 1.2 patch, and run. No problems. I'm even running XP SP2 (which usually further breaks things). I never had to use the "special" XP patch. Dunno what your problem is.

I have the requisite new phone, but I don't believe that I can connect my phone to my computer out-of-the-box. Not sure what extras (nor how much they'd cost) I'd need to get them sync'd up.

Yeah, but think about this: My wife and I just bought into a cellular plan two days ago, and we ended up with some pretty fancy phones for next to nothing. They both have color screens that are higher-resolution than a GBA. I've been really thinking about this thread now that I have a phone that cou...

Ah, but can we get an answer to sadisticpenguin's second question? Will pictures of Sidney Greenstreet and Peter Lorre be used for Ferrari and Ugarte? I've long been a Peter Lorre fan, and that would be just the perfect touch for QFG2VGA.

That's the hard thing about the situation. The twisting, winding streets were annoying to navigate at first, but they honestly gave the city of Shapier a sense of size. The Coles wanted to make it clear that this was no alpine Germanic village; this was a sprawling desert metropolis. And Thepal's ri...

Sounds good. I know you guys are being bulling with screenshots, but I'd really like to see one of the new alley system (perhaps in the next website update). The alleys have always been something that we fans have wondered how you were going to handle, and seeing something concrete would be nice.

QFG2VGA Alleys

So, the updated FAQ says that the alleys in Shapier won't scroll like they did in the old EGA version. Any particular reason? I know that the layout of the city is receiving an overhaul for the sake of simplicity, but the scolling feature added size and depth to the city (unlike Spielburg's tiny str...

Didn't even have a chance to see the content: the pop-ups ruined it for me.

Perhaps I should use Opera instead of IE. Shame to switch browsers just to...

Re: QFG2: Communication Poll

I disagree: the point-and-click system used in Ultima 7 part 1 and 2 worked just fine, without giving too much away. Yes, it "limited" options, but since the game had tens of thousands of lines of dialogue, it actually streamlined gameplay and made the plot more accessible and enjoyable. <...
