Re: Two Guys From Andromeda are back!!
I installed it, then discovered the character is stuck and unable to move. All I can do with that prototype is to die an horrible death, which is frankly amusing, but I feel like I'm missing out a lot of jokes.

Re: Kingdom Of Sorrow
No, it's being developed by the Infamous-Adventures team. However, many of their members also visit this forum, and some people that worked for AGDI have also worked for IA. I've heard the game is going to be quite good.

It's going well, I wonder if they'll surpass the new Tex Murphy game that is also on kickstarter.

Re: Tim Schafer wins the Kickstarter thread
The drive surpassed 3.000.000$ half a day before the end of the pledge. Well, technically it reached that number a few hours ago, as Tim Schafer mentioned they got 100.000$ from premium pledges outside of kickstarter. It looks like the success of the drive is going to make the game much longer and s...

Re: Know any kangaroos in video games?
My brother had in my ancient 8086 one boxing game with CGA graphics and side-view in which you could fight a kangaroo, I was too young to remember the name of these ancient games. There are also kangaroos in Winnie the Pooh's games, and there might be a kangaroo in "Inherit the Earth", but...

Re: Interesting glitch with the astrologer and alleway syste
Good catch, and pretty interesting bug! It would be pretty interesting if this glitch allowed to do the sidequests in simplified mode, and no, I don't recall anyone reporting this glitch before. :D Chris, if you release another build, you'll have to fix the combat system, too, which many people have...

It depends on the technology you use and feel comfortable with. Paper is not suitable for some painting tools, and the canvas is not suitable for a different set of tools.

Re: Do you think this could be a record?
Heh, you may try but I don't think the World Guiness of records will go to your house to see you losing at yet another game. Also, I think the vietnamese old woman who failed the theory portion of the drive test over five hundred of times will beat you as world's biggest loser.

Re: Inspired by this initiative, want to introduce myself
Hi, DeClawd! Hope you feel comfortable in here! I think I went exactly the same route as you, though I visited the Basic of the C64 before that. Unfortunately (or fortunately), the games made by AGD Interactive don't make use of C++, they are made instead with Adventure Game Studio, a program design...

Try to leave the desk overview every time you finish casting of spells, instead of chaining spell recipes.

Re: Church Graveyard Help?
If the zombie pulls you down you either are excavating in the wrong grave, or you are trying to do something at the wrong time. Maybe you forgot to do something earlier? I personally would prefer if the game let you do this kind of sequence breaking, but then you got less puzzle points at the end. A...

Re: Tim Schafer wins the Kickstarter thread
The game reached 1.000.000$ right after 22 hours since the kickstarter project got published. It'll probably beat the most funded project ever before the day ends, making it not only the highest funded project in Kickstarter's history, but also the fastest. At this rate, it's going to easily reach 1...

Re: Tim Schafer wins the Kickstarter thread
It's already 615.000$ after 15 hours. At this rate, it might reach 1.000.000$ in one day! :eek This will probably have an impact on the adventure game industry, so it's both great news for the players, and a bit worrisome for the indie developers. Worst scenario is having to compete against "in...

Re: Order of the Stick reprint drive
Do you know what's even more ridiculous than getting 500.000$ in two weeks? Getting them in half a day!!! Yeah, that's right. Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert have tried Kickstarter for their next game project, which is going to be an 'indie' classic point n click adventure game, and they've reached thei...

Tim Schafer wins the Kickstarter thread
"The Order of the Stick" is a webcomic drawn in stick figure style that spoofs D&D and that has been around for 9 years. Now, there's an ongoing project at kickstarter to reprint all the "order of the stick" compilation books that are out of print, starting with the third boo...

Unlike the original, the porridge respawns every time you feed Manannan with it, so you have an endless resource of food there, no need to restart playing every time you run of fruit and meat.

Re: Space Quest II is available to download!
Game keeps crashing, woo-hoo! First, I tried to disable voices from winsetup.exe to see if I could survive the six seconds countdown crash, and it worked!! Then the countdown reached 0:0 and nothing happened (probably because the voice never plays, or maybe because I'm already in the escape pod). He...
