Re: The Gamers Thread: PS3, PC, Wii, 360... pick your poison!!
I also got Heavy Rain while I wait the 5 days for Alan Wake. Also been playing steam games now that it's ported. I don't use PSN or XBLA but my steam is RDiRocco if you want to play some TF2 or L4D

Re: Prepare...
No commercial games that I've ever heard of, I'm not about to go on a crusade for a 1mb flash game. I think a commercial game where you play as Nazis would be incredibly successful, you'd just never be able to fund it.

Re: Combat is *way* too hard
I only ever play as a thief and when I first played the combat took some learning with Uhura but it seemed really balanced after that. I never touched copilot or difficulty so I don't know what the defaults were. Still I suppose I had an imported hero with mostly 80s for stats. I'll have to try a fr...

Re: Prepare...
To be fair, in WWII games you don't play as Nazis. You play the German army. Two different things. Identically though there's no way to play as the Allies instead of the American Army(rarely is it a different Allied army), interestingly while playing "America's Army" it's hard not to see ...

Re: Get Portal for free and Steam officially ported to Linux!
one of the top sellers on steam right now is the "indie pack" of about 6 titles that I've never heard of but look really interesting. Higher still is the bundle for Tales of Monkey Island and Sam and Max Season 3 which is cheaper than getting a season of either and if you have Team Fortres...

Re: Prepare...
Justifying acts of genocide is wrong. Playing a game where someone thinks they can is not. This discussion is just silly. Lots of World War II games allow you to play both sides on the multiplayer campaign and I've never once considered not picking the germans because they are "evil" and y...

Re: Prepare...
I'd rather play Phoenix Wright, a nazi free game, about lawyers that makes one think and solve puzzles than any nazi game and you can challenge that. Nazi games just never have any substance.
edit: Has any game ever been pro-nazi bent? I'd probably play that as it would be interesting and/or amazing.

Wow, that could make for an interesting plot! Hopefully the game would have a clear anti-Nazi bent, similar to that of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. http://blog.shrub.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/objection_zoom.jpg That's precisely what would make it an uninteresting plot. There are already...

Re: FFXIII
to me 8 just didn't do anything well. 6 was 100% customizable and did it in a way that I could understand at age 6. You're right though, there are people who will like 8 just like there are people that don't like Avatar.

I heard terrible things about 8 and 10 and loved them, I heard great things about 9 and hated it This sounds like the game for you. How can anyone like 8 the story made no sense, even for a Final Fantasy, the junction system was overly confusing and you needed to draw to use it which is by far the ...

Re: Imac exclusive games
I don't think there's any good Mac-exclusive games but... as a Mac user myself, I find that any game that can run on a Mac, should be run on a Mac. :P There's some ways of getting Windows-only games to run but they're all either too complicated for me to work (I'm a technotard :P) or involve having...

I like the Fate of Atlantis approach where the characters moved around and their in game sprite talked with the text. Of course it would be even more impressive with voices.

Re: FFXIII
if I rented it I'd only end up playing the bad part and Final Fantasy has never even been good in 3d. I was a huge fan when I was younger during the Super Nintendo day but each game since has been more disappointing then the last. Except for 8 which was particularly awful.

interesting post. It's certainly giving me ideas. I think it's AGDI related simply because all the clues line up with Kings Quest. The controversy, the previously announced by, Starts with a K. "The Storyline which is engaging, well-known, unfinished and also not entirely the main focus of the ...

Just to get it all in one spot and to make it easier to comb through I've compiled the posts I deem important in one easy to look at piece, I may add my speculation to it later. This is not definitive or confirmation this is just what I think on it and I have no association with any game making anyt...

AGDI is pleased to announce that it has taken over an Infamous Adventures title. And just to disclose, MI has done some work for us, on an upcoming Himalaya game. I'm 90 percent sure these two statements are true. Especially since MI has done work for IA so it works either way. The only thing I can...

He explained it. It's like having a Buy it now price with the potential to actually make more. I know I don't bid on Ebay, I use "Buy it now" almost exclusively. If I were putting something up for bid though the reserve price is a great idea if you're not putting a buyout price. Also did a...

I totally just figured it out by rereading the thread. It's painfully obvious if you put it all together. Use only MI's posts and take note that the "Part deux" post isn't far off.

it's a remake of a remake! as far fetched as that seems.MusicallyInspired wrote: Here's another hint: This game was actually announced a certain amount of time ago (not by me, and not by AGDI just in case people are thinking in that direction). People seem to have forgotten about it, though.

it also has nothing to do with the Space Quest image Blackthorne posted earlier as, persumably, a red herring.
