It's Vista weirdness. Lots of games have it.

Re: Entering Harem.

Hi. In the orginal game you could enter Harem as a figther using magic rope (I guess it was part of thief's path to Glory). Why in the remake has it been changed? According to another thread, you need some prerequisites: If you possess the magic rope that has enough charges for one more use, you po...

Yes. Depending on your class, break the door, cast open, or look around for something to pick the lock with.

Storage?

Is there somewhere I can stash my shield to try out some sword + magical combat?

If it's in my room, what should I click on?

Yes, but it lasted for me across multiple screens back and forth across the desert until I picked up the griffin feather.

Minor Bug re: overloaded

Even if you are overloaded, if you walk outside of Shapeir into the desert, you'll be at normal speed with normal animations until you pick something up.

Might as well be working as designed, because you can definitely reach 200 honor by spamming flower-gifts in the original.

Re: KQ1VGA and KQ2+ undergoing maintainance

oh wow is that the two new surprises? you guys updated KQ1 and KQ2? I don't believe it, thats way too much work to significantly update the games... you guys just fixed some bugs right? I predict the opening sequence, installer, etc. will now say AGDI, have the same consistent copyright notice, etc.

You're thinking of trademarks here, not copyrights.  I suppose it's a moot point, since QFG2 is no doubt protected by both.

Progress update?

It looks to me like the last progress update was over two months ago now (February 24).  How are things going?

Just out of curiousity, what result if you re-import into QG4 from QG4 after finishing the game, instead of importing into QG5?

False.  Psychological dependence, perhaps.  Physical withdrawal symptoms comparable to physically addicting drugs, no.

Re: Multi-classing and combat

While playing a fighter in the EGA version of QFG2 you could get rid of your shield and fight using only your sword. Of course that only made any sense if you also knew magic... Will this lovely detail be retained in the remake? And will the reverse feature be added (buying a sword if you are a non...

It seems like there should be a way to extract the data and then use it in a more modern interpreter, though.

Reimporting as a wizard *mostly* fixes my spells, but leaves the open skill at 23902 and leaves me the paladin ability to heal.

I think QFG4 needs a remake just to fix the bugs.

The only way to get a legitimate copy is to buy one on eBay, I'm afraid. And there's not much guarantee that it's not going to crash there either. Ok.  EBay watch begun.  I think with DOSBox I can slow it down to work. Well, you could give yourself the bush. But the bonzai bush quest is optional to...

QFG 4 / Return of Error 47

I have the anthology collection (QFG4 CD English version and German DOS version).  I got the timing fixes, which are referenced in the patch section of the resource.cfg, so I believe are being used (also, I don't seem to have lightning fast combat-stamina growth or wraiths killing me instantly). How...
