I don't know the answer there, but since you can do it in the original I would assume you'll be able to do it in the remake.

BTW, if your QFG4CD is like mine it does have the English DOS version on it, you just can't install it from the windows installer. (Which doesn't work anymore for me on my newest comp anyway...) I believe there is a DOS install prog for it on the root directory of the anthology CD. I can't remember ...

The possibility of versions actually modified to work on modern computers does sound exciting. If this really is what's happening, I hope they do this for the QFG Collection too.

There's a book in the library, I think during either the last or second-to-last time you can visit, that explains about an old ruler of Daventry called Legenimor, or something like that, who was a very powerful wizard. Have you seen http://ufo.myexp.de/ ? Not a straight remake of UFO Defense but it is a squad TBS a lot like X-COM. They already have some battlescape demos done.

There were later remakes of X-Wing and TIE Fighter for Win95, with updated graphics. I have those versions; TIE Fighter is probably one of the best space combat sims I've played. :) X-Wing Alliance was made in the early 2000s IIRC. It's pretty good too.
