Actually, the American date won't be officially revealed until about 3 hours from now, so IGN's info COULD still turn uot to be wrong (and let's be honest, it wouldn't be the first time). European details will be released about 24 hours from now. As for Japan not getting it until December, it's impo...

Just got the latest CyberJoke from Al - this was in the header: Thanks to Adam Brown for passing along the first "news" story about the (soon to be available?) Sierra adventure game collections. Amazon says they'll be available this Friday, EB says Monday, so it must be soon. VU actually p...

The Windows versions used the exact same data* as the DOS versions, since AGI and SCI are both virtual machines. I wouldn't be surprised if the old Windows engines aren't included at all, but if they are, they've likely been updated a bit to work with hi-speed computers and XP. That being said, if t...

They SHOULDN'T require the disc, given the fact that the AGI and SCI engines are both virtual machines. Therefore, even if the CD installer doesn't copy the games, nothing should be stopping you from doing it yourself. Then again, they DID change the engine for this - and if they packed the game dat...

Strange. The KQ Collection also lacks a game, but I imagine that it's MoE that was left out, which I can sort of understand.

Dammit, Vivendi, now you've got me wondering which game was left out of the LSL collection - even though I won't buy it, since I already have all the games :P

Yeah, but the same applies to Larry 7, and that one had 3 versions - DOS, Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. Coincidentally, that game also forced me to replace a 4MB RAM module with a 16MB one in my old 486, since the DOS version kept crashing, and I didn't have the 12MB RAM the Windows version required (...

Use SoundBlaster or General MIDI (if available) for music and SoundBlaster for sound, rather than Microsoft Sound System (which it looks like you've selected).

Obviously, you'll also want to be sure the CD is mounted as Drive E in DOSBox, or has that drive letter for VDMSound.

A quick search turned up this page: http://atticwindow.adventuredevelopers. ... estore.php

Not sure if it helps you further or if you've already seen it, but hopefully it can help you a bit further, even if it isn't too verbose.

I'd say it's worse that they mention the parser interface, even though it's obviously point-and-click - which leads me to believe they did it on purpose.

In reality, it's the microphone that picks up the noise from your blowing, not the screen - even if it looks that way. :) Blowing is, in fact, pretty common in those games that use the microphone - but of course, it can also be used for speech recognition (Brain Age, Phoenix Wright) and voice chat o...

Under compatability settings, have you told Windows to run it in 256 colors? It's not playable otherwise.

I don't think they have the resources to accept credit cards on their own, so you'll have to go through Paypal (Paypal, however, *does* accept credit cards).

It's not a direct sequel, but the style of gameplay is the same. You don't need to play one before the other, if that's what you're referring to.

You most likely need to perform adjustments on your monitor settings. Change the brightness and contrast levels to a higher value. Failing that, get a utility like alter the gamma correction of your monitor. Your graphics card MAY have one somewhere in its settings, or, depending on what other softw...

I think it's a good game - I liked the twist about controlling the babies seperately (although I'm still wondering how it's possible that the babies start at Level 3, and Mario and Luigi start at level 1...) The game is quite linear, though - there's not a lot of doubt as to where to go and what to ...

DS has Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, which is similar to Superstar Saga.
