I know you can fast forward at that point, but I'm not sure if you can do anything else. At least, I can't see what that would be.

If it's a phishing e-mail, how would they know her name? Granted, the format doesn't seem typical of official eBay e-mails, but they might begin that way in these cases (though I'm in doubt as to how they know it isn't her).

HijackThis! is a program that's very useful for finding things that are running on your computer, but shouldn't. You can get it on http://merijn.org. Just run it and tell it to save a log, then post the contents of it here (so I can look at it), or at a dedicated forum for these things.

You might want to post a HijackThis!-log to either here or a dedicated security forum.

Well, the site you've found it on says it's made by a Pam Thien. A web search turns up the site pamthien.com, and content on the site looks similar to the image you've found (all the way down to the signature). A whois query on the domain reveals the domain as being registered to a Pornvipa Thientan...

For most intents and purposes, DOSBox *is* a 486 - or 386. I'm not even sure if it implements all the CPU instructions AGS needs, and it (likely) won't run at a playable speed.

If you have OS X 10.4, there's a beta on the AGS site you should be able to use to play the game.

You need to go to the AGS website and download the DOS version of the interpreter. Then, from the command line, use the Windows executable as a parameter to ACDOS. At least, I believe that's how it's done. Do note that this won't make the games run on a 486 (if that's what you're planning to do), an...

Even so, they say they no longer support the products. That means they must have supported it at one time, but that's impossible, since they are yet to be released. And FWIW, companies don't always pay that much attention to e-mails. I once contacted Nintnedo of America to hear about the American re...

Sounds to me like they're referring to the original releases of the games. If you sent it to Tech Support, as their response seems to indicate, it's only logical that this is what you'd get for a reply, as they're not meant to deal with games that aren't out yet (since there's not a whole lot of sup...

A PM is on it's way. We're dealing with 3 errors, and all of them very minor, so it's not a very big problem to remember what they are - although I can't remember the exact page and line they were on.

3 great things that happened to me during this E3:

1. Seeing the Nintendo press conference.
2. Seeing the trailer for Super Smash Bros. Brawl and being extremely impressed.
3. Getting confirmation of an English translation of Gyakuten Saiban 2 - I truly love that series :D

Just finished the book today - great story, and a nice little twist on the ending there :) I did notice some small errors - really nothing major at all, and not even big enough for me to have noticed in the online part of the book, even though I usually catch those easily. I don't know if you want t...

Latest update on the Wii price: A site spoke with a developer about the Wii price. That developer said they couldn't reveal it yet, but he said it would be somewhere between $149 and $299. At that point , his colleague quickly entered the conversation and said that it would "without a doubt&quo...

Reportedly, the Wii will include Wii Sports and Wii Music (that conductor-thingy) at no extra cost. Whether or not they will be built-in or included on a disc is unknown. All this at the low, low price of $249 - at least, that's the latest rumour on the price point, and it might even end up being $1...

If the PS3 is so good, why was there virtually NO reaction from the crowd until MGS4 came up? ;)

Besides, haven't you learned anything from watching Nintendo's conference? It's not about the graphics, it's about the gameplay.

Just to keep you updated, I haven't received it yet. Given that the 8 weeks will have passed in a few days, it looks like you'll have to have a chat with the people at the post office. Vildern, have you received Game Quest yet? I worry it's going to take forever to get there. I hope it arrives in good shape. If I'm to make a guess, it's not there yet, given that it's not even *here* yet. You wouldn't happen to have any idea about how long shipping ought to take, would you? (Of co...
