Do you have a small example of that?

I'm now seriously considering buying, but I really don't know what to look for first.

I have nothing sensible to add, just wanted to say this is a great and very informational thread, and makes me want to spend a lot of money on the MT32 and SC55. O_o.

I would like an old fashioned p&c revival on the iPad.
Just saw an interactive book on it today, and there's definately a lot of potential.

Re: Day of the Tentacle Question - "friend of yours, Bernard?"

Bernard to me is the staple character of the Maniac Mansion series. I always select him when playing MM as he always has a different approach and opinion when playing as him as opposed to other characters who pretty all do the same thing. Firstly, he'll refuse to go into the mansion before Dave for...

Re: Day of the Tentacle Question - "friend of yours, Bernard?"

I didn't think you were rude, so sorry if you thought I thought you were rude. I just thought it was obvious that I wasn't talking about DOTT. Here's the context: actually no, this references instead a maniac mansion puzzle where bernard (or any of the kids) microwaves Ed's pet hamster. if you talk ...

Re: Day of the Tentacle Question - "friend of yours, Bernard?"

He's talking about DOTT. There's no way not to select Bernard. Like duh. Of course he was. However, in this thread, we also started talking about the connection between DOTT and MM (see QFGfan's post). DOTT assumes the Maniac Mansion story having involved Bernard, which can seem kind of odd when yo...

Well, I always regard the last two acts as an elaborate, interactive ending. Though, after all that work, the where are they now portraits are not really rewarding / satisfying.

So it isn't your monitor? Sounds like your colourpicker isn't handling colourprofiles properly. What about Windows Viewer (or whatever it's called), do the colours show up right there? (Btw, if you rightclick on a file, and choose "open with", you can pick a program to open the file with a...

Erpy, you DO need the Royal Family for a KQ game to work. Look at the KQ8 fiasco :lol. Turning Graham to stone? What were they thinking. Well. The conlucion is that the things you name need to be determined per case and are definately a grey area. I just don't get why TSL got the C&D out of nowh...

This is sad news. I wonder about the exact details of the negotiation and shut down. Isn't it a grey area to begin with? I know it's quite a difficult situation under international law. What if I made a satirical version of King's Quest? That is definately legal in a lot of countries if I'm not mist...

I think you should not worry until the time comes, but hey. I like special names, and would definately not stick with the relatively boring first names mentioned ealier. But I do think you should not be so extreme in this. Naming one of your children with a special Trek name is okay, but ALL of them...

Re: Avatar

I thought that while the plot was very predictable and formulaic, the special effects and acting made it worth seeing. Overall I liked it quite a bit. Yeah, probably the 3D IMAX setting was adding to the experience I've had; the plot was is probably worse than Titanic, only the setting is different.

Re: Holy...! Has anyone else run into this nasty KQVII bug?!

I remember experiencing this once (never played through windows again after that), but even though you die, the retry function will place you with a fresh cracker on the spot you died, meaning, you should be able to move around a bit every time, no matter how many times you die. This was a while ago...
