To set the record straight on KQ7; it was released first for Windows 3.1 ONLY. Then when Win 95 came out, Sierra released a version for Win 95 ONLY. There was a DOS version, too, and if memory serves, it came out around the same time as the Win 95 version, also released separately. A pretty crumm...

I think your main difficulty here (aside from programming and copyright worries ;) ) is going to be in coming up with a storyline that doesn't seem arbitrary or forced. Loom's storyline was fantastic, and even with somewhat of an open ending, it still came to a perfect resolution. Forge would hav...

there are two methods that might work for you. the first one to try would probably be running the game in dosbox (a program which emulates a dos environment and allows old dos-based games to run on newer systems), if indeed you have the dos version of the game (I'm not sure if there was a windows v...

with dosbox, i've found that just copying all the files off the cd into the game directory doesn't usually work. if you don't own the cd, but can get your hands on it, you'll probably want to just copy the entire cd into a directory and then mount that directory as your cdrom drive in dosbox. with...

cool, thanks that is what i was wanting to know. i posted that question here for two reasons, the first being that it was most of the replies here that spawned the question, and second that I knew it would be a one post answer, so i didnt want to start a new thread. as for pure characters, I've ha...

a lot of people have been talking about how AGD should add some quests for fighters/magic users/thieves/hybrids to QFG2 VGA, but I was under the impression that it was going to be a one to one remake, without any notable additions/changes to the gameplay or storyline. I think the QFG2 VGA feature p...

i vote to lose the cape, I always hated that part of the QG1 remake's costume, and in this instance it kinda makes him look a little more boy wonderish than we'd probably like from the nameless hero we know and love. also the pants are a bit bright and could probably stand to not be skin tight. Ot...

FatherGhostface, the AIM-virus to which you are referring is actually something that is fairly common. It happened to me several months ago and I did a clean install of my operating system before realizing that there is actually a number of different fixes out there for a number of different AIM-or...

I actually read about a fan made Loom sequel that was in the works. They had talked to Brian Moriarty and he had said that the Forge and the Fold would continue the story from the point of view of Rusty Nailbender and the shepherd woman (her name escapes me at the moment, Fleece something I think.)...

I don't know, many different kingdoms you could travel between. The ability to play a villain and plot against heroes perhaps. Sounds a lot like Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (a FANTASTIC rpg by the way). Not exactly an adventure game in the classic sense of the category, but it is rife w...
