Re: Good places to practice various skills...
Has anybody figured out a good way to max out a pure fighter's intelligence? I know he really just needs to be smart enough to figure out that the pointy end goes into the monster, but I can't stand that it's the only stat I'm not positive I can max out before the end of the game.

Found a Game Crashing Bug *Contains Spoilers*
For future reference, after obtaining the book off of the city-dwelling brigand, do not hit ctrl+J while riding your saurus. Instant game crash every time. It works fine to pull up the book while on foot, and I reverted to a save game before I got the book, and nothing bad happened when I hit those ...

Re: Making Money?
Don't worry. Within a few game days, you'll earn yourself a substantial reward. In the mean time, you really only need to keep enough money on hand to keep yourself stocked with the necessities. Money is really not a problem in this game. (Though in the EGA version too much money and no place to sto...

Ahh see, there you go. Totally misunderstood. You'll notice that she's nothing but a tease, you can look but you can't touch. So she wears a low cut top and flirts like mad. What better way is there for an attractive woman to distract and perhaps fluster a man with a bit more gold than common sense?...

Re: Moneychanger exchange rates
This is something that comes directly from the original. You can exchange up to 50G at a time to keep her fee down to 10%. She is a business woman after all, how is she supposed to make a living if she gives an even exchange? 1 gold = 1 dinar 10 silver = 1 gold 100 centimes (made of brass) = 1 dinar...

Re: HELP: Looking for Brigand in City! (SPOILER)
Very cool side quest Erpy! I just wish I had figured it out before my fighter was maxed out, all I really noticed was that one brigand tried to cast a spell at me, and the last one took a bit longer to kill. Next time I'll know to look for the differences in their fighting style. :) I managed to fig...

Re: combat system is better than any other QFG
I'm typically hopeless with arcade battle systems, but it didn't take too much practice for me to get good enough to hold my own in a battle. I've found that the skull-splitter is pretty useful against scorpions, while the uppercut (ermmm... or whatever the name of that couter attack you do after du...

Re: Quest For Glory ll is there voice pack?
If anybody can do it justice, you guys can. But if you ever do decide to make a voice pack, take a listen to this Lets Play as a what-to-avoid. I really enjoy the guy's videos, but that voice with the "Reerrrow" makes me cringe!

Re: Quest For Glory ll is there voice pack?
I did say: Other games like the KQ series just lent themselves better to talented amateurs doing a great job with the voices. Maybe I should clairify, I thought that the KQ voice packs did sound great. And when I use the word amateur, I definitely don't intend for the negative connotation that the w...

Re: combat system is better than any other QFG
The thing that I'm loving most about the combat system is how much more satisfying practicing with Uhura is. That and the fact that I was able to take her down on the second try. In the original it would usually take me at least a few practice sessions before my hero was able to beat her. Now that m...

Re: Quest For Glory ll is there voice pack?
Yeah. I'm glad that there's no voice pack and will most likely never be one. I shudder to imagine how awful a voice pack with the wrong amateur talent doing the katta voices would sound like, they might try to meow at the end of every sentence or something! *shudder* Other games like the KQ series j...

Re: Am I Dreaming?
If only I had read this sooner. When I saw that you can run to Raseir I absolutely had to try it. (And I've gotten a keyboard config. down that works pretty well for combat now.) My hero and his saurus have been on their way to the right of the Shapeir overlook for an entire day and half a night. He...

It's fascinating to watch, I'm having trouble stopping. It's really interesting to see how somebody else goes about playing through the game and hear his thought process. He definitely plays differently than I do, but we both get there in the end.

Re: Help using copilot in combat
Can the copilot function as an autopilot? After my initial expolorations, I've held off on playing the game further because I'm working on a laptop with a condensed keyboard. (No easy access number pad.) I really want to get the most out of this new combat system, so I want to take the time to figur...

Re: Moneychanging
Ok, I've just gone and done this in the remake to be 100% certain that I'm being accurate: 10G = 9D (or a 10% charge) 20G= 18D (10%) 30G = 27D (10%) 40G = 36D (10%) 50G = 45D (10%) 60G= 52D (13%) So yes, one at a time gives you a free money exchange which is certainly better than 10%, but personally...

Re: Moneychanging
My sources tell me that it in the original, a 10% charge applied to all transactions of 50G and below, so if you only change 50 at a time you'll have minimal loss. I'm assuming it is the same, or at least very similar in the new remake.
