I haven't seen much recently. Will see Sin City when it comes out. Of course, lots of great films approaching in the summer to the end of the year.

Have you tried downloading a new copy? Perhaps from a different mirror? Your download itself might be corrupted and therefore not have a proper save capability.
If the download was corrupted in any way, the game would likely not install, period.

Cool. It's nice to see an overview like that. It'd be neat if any potentially scrollable screens would line up and be scrollable.

I loved Silpheed. Never owned it. Acquired the original box with all manuals and disks recently in pretty good condition. I was very happy.

Silpheed had sweet 3D wireframe graphics, great arcade gameplay, and a pretty cool soundtrack.

Those are the tribute credits to the original KQ2. And yes, Mark Crowe (as well as many other well-known Sierra people) worked on more than just the games they are known for. For example, Al Lowe did programming for many other Sierra games besides being the designer of the Larry games.

Although the flash menu would be so much easier, efficiently, better-loading and performance done with Javascript.

Made in MS Paint while I was bored at work yesterday. It was a quick job, but I've seen some people do amazing stuff using only MS Paint. It's not just the tools you have that count.

Part of the fun of the QFG games was sitting around and making your stats go up. Of course, it is fun too to try and figure out how to edit the file and cheat.

I started with 3D Studio 2 (DOS), then 4, then Max 2, Max 3.5, now I'm still using Max 4 (they're up to Max 6 or 7 or something?) Just by playing around with it, you can learn some easy stuff. You can learn enough without too much work to do what I did for the KQ2 intro scene. I've never moved beyon...

I have not found any good tutorials that cover a large variety of topics, a "how-to" that follows a complete scene from start to finish. If you're talking about a cutscene that's way too broad. You'll have to figure out what all the things you want in your cutscene are, and then look for i...

Well in those 2 pictures, you catch Glen in one of his worse moments and Mason in one of his better moments :p

Anyway, I never saw Joss' original Buffy movie. I looked at it a few times on the video shelf, but every time I said "Nah."

Anyway, you might find you enjoy the game more if you don't ask for a hint or check a walkthrough every hour. Give yourself some time to sit back, relax, try to solve some puzzles, and enjoy the game!

The guy who plays Mason? Totally not like Glen Quinn! I don't think Buffymania is dying down... tons of people (like me) are discovering the show on DVD, and Season 7 did just release in December after all. The Buffy / Angel magazines are still active and following the cast / crew of the shows. If t...

Nah Snarky according to various sources the Buffy animated series is definitely still in the works. What's the deal with Doyle? Nice stuff but one comment JLM5, without the blue part of the last background you posted, it loses a lot of the feel of the original SQ2 screen. It doesn't have to be exactly the same but if you can still include those colours and layout elements, I think it would feel more like the original.

I've played every Sierra adventure game - I think - but have not beat all of them, mostly a few of the later ones such as Rama, Lighthouse, etc. Hmm - I have not played at all Phantas 2 or any of the Shivers games, as I don't own them.

Yeah Angelus that's true. Oh well. Other than the cross-overs though, they are their own series, so I wanted to follow Buffy through to the end and then start fresh with Angel. I never watched either show when they aired, so watching them now on DVD, an entire season in a couple weeks, the impact of...
