Well, obviously a Pole...
but what else is he/she famous for. I guess I'm not up to speed on Polish history/popular culture/politics, or whatever the case may be.

King's Quest is certainly not a girl's game! It's a classic that has no gender association.

And Fribbi, I wasn't really accusing you of debating, I was referring to Angelus' post directly above yours. I don't really care though, debate away if it please you.

No Debating!!

I'm not looking for a date, either. Just wondering. And as I said, don't take this too seriously!

P.S. this is for you Jafar: Image

Members of the Fairer Sex?

I just wanted to get an idea of how many of the regular posters here are female. I can only think of five (six including AGD1): Swift, Vamp, TakariFreak, Steffi, and Chels. I'm sure there are more. It would be nice to know, so if you are, or know any other AGDI forum goers of the female persuasion, ...

Happy Birthday Broomie! ......well, I guess it's no longer really your birthday, as it must already be the 21st over where you are. It's still your birthday in the States when this is posted though, so at least I have some excuse (albeit a lame one). :rolleyes I've had a really busy day so I haven't...

Actually, Uhanimar, you missed the first chat. The first chat was last Saturday the 16th of October, but apparently Broomie has already scheduled another one for Wednesday the 20th, his birthday. That's right, tomorrow.

So, hope to see you there.

Response to TakariFreak: It's not that all advice from people who don't know the situation as well as the recipient of the advice is bad, good, or anything in between. But since the advisor (one giving the advice) has less to go on in analyzing the situation, there is a greater propensity that it wi...

In other words, Vamp is saying that you don't have to be in or ever have been in a close romantic relationship to understand what romantic relationships are like in general. It certainly helps to have been in one, but if you've known a certain loving and functional couple for a long time (could even...

So while I can't offer insight on the touchy-feely part of a relationship, what I have with said friend is STILL a very strong relationship, so I DO have some experience. I completely agree, though maybe I should have mentioned that myself in the previous post. While there are certainly some differ...

Well, maybe the fact that the sandwich was first made in England has something to do with its popularity in English pubs. It gets its namesake from the town of Sandwich, after all.

Actually, I think they speak Turkish in Istanbul, as it's part of Turkey. It's highly possible that Arabic is spoken there as well, however.

Thanks for the explanation, Meerbat. BTW, by "half a sandwich" I think you mean an open-faced sandwich, as it's called in America. Only one slice of bread, right? I also don't really like it when restaurants serve sandwiches at dinnertime. Or, I should say, cold sandwiches. Some places ser...

Non est, crede mihi, sapientis dicere 'Vivam': Sera nimis vita est crastina: vive hodie. --M. Valerius Martialis I've never actually seen this translated, since I just found it in an ancient book of quotations that was written at a time when educated readers were (I'm guessing) expected to know Lat...

What exactly are Spiegeleier ? Reflective eggs? hmmm... I know that German has all sorts of special food names that make no sense, so this is probably one of them. Actually, that part of the male anatomy you described as "south of the border" isn't exactly 'vital'. Plenty of eunuchs existed in olden times, and women seem to do fine without it.

BTW, this response is not to add any credence to your insinuation concerning Erpy's manhood. ;)

For example when me and Angelus first started going out (well maybe a few months) things were a bit tense between us as we clashed a few times and found out things about each other that we weren't to keen on (like you do in alot of relationships) The thing about good lasting relationships is that t...

Translation Questions

Hi, I've been playing through KQVGA with the Dutch translation, but I'm stuck. I can't get past the gnome because I don't know the Dutch translation of "Rumplestiltskin". I know that in German it's "Rumpelstilzchen", which is the tale's original name, but neither of those names w...
