A wise man once said, "A (poem/story/movie/game/play) is never completed, it is only abandoned." This is true sometimes. However, if it's never abandoned, you also get nothing new and there's a point where you stop growing and it stops being satisfying. Sometimes, you just have to let your...

I'll keep you posted. I'm not sure if I've tried it on this computer yet as I haven't played Antara at least since high school, but I do remember it working when I had WindowsME I think (which who the hell cares about that as a great deal that worked in weirdo ME doesn't do @#$% in XP).

Well they haven't actually been working full-time on it for six years. People seem to forget that they were all kind of WORKING ON AL EMMO AND THE LOST DUTCHMAN'S MINE. I mean, they designed a full-length professional quality modern adventure game with 3D animations and sprites and a professional vo...

I wouldn't say it's a pain any more than it's a pain to test MMORPG's. I mean, those have infinite possibility and infinite combination of skill sets and looks and they seem to be able to be done pretty well. You'd just need a bigger development and beta-testing team. It could be done.

Anyway, what I'm saying is that there's no obligation at all for a future QFG6 to follow ALL of the possible ways. It could assume, as always, the best ending for each character class. Now, I know the game doesn't give you the best score for some of these endings, but I've always thought the best e...

You haven't played QFG4? And you call yourself QFGFan??!?! Arguably the best game and the series and you haven't played it...wow. Anyways, I figure this entire thread's spoiler heaven since we're talking specifics about game details, so I figured it didn't need the spoiler tags. Besides, that's not ...

Then again, though, I don't think the wholesale epic battle style action that went on during the Dragon showdown would've really been possible. It may have ended up being something like the end of QFG4 where you kinda just hit a wall with Erana's staff and she says you sent Avoozl back. I think that...

It's getting pretty exciting. I expect to see the game sometime before the end of 2007. Every time I try and say what's up to navynuke on AIM he goes, "can't talk, busy testing, mumble mumble grumble..." I figure that means they're hard at work on it. If we're lucky, we might get a summer ...

Yep, 23 on the 23rd! Gotta love it. By another happy coincidence, my sister will be 19 on the 19th (of March) and my girlfriend will be 21 on the 21st (of May). As you well know, though, February birthdays ARE the coolest. ;) I hope yours was every bit as awesome as it could be.

I don't think FACS exists anymore. I tried looking for it a loooong time ago but couldn't find it. I think Perdita and Guque lost interest. Similarly, I was surprised to discover the Halfwittenburg Door was still around. EDIT: Now that I look, I think it was all essentially absorbed into adeyke's bo...

I liked MOE as it is. It wasn't really anything resembling the traditional KQ game, but it wasn't a bad game in its own right. I view it like I view Heroes of Might & Magic in comparison to Might & Magic. They're both in the same universe, but different types of game. If there was one thing ...

If there was ever an AGDI KQ3 remake, IA would totally be behind it, too. When we made the game, we made it for fans of the original to play it in a 1:1 environment. While we did add little "perks" like an extended intro and some cool cutscenes, we felt they were more in line with Sierra's...

I got what you were saying. It just didn't seem like everyone did so I was clarifying. Personally, I think that the use of 3D allowed QFG5 to become more epic and majestic. Like I said, though, there were times when it was just impossible to see what was happening because it was zoomed out so much. ...

Basically, you're saying what would QFG5 have been like had it been made right after QFG4 as it was originally planned? Well, Lori Cole has said it was quite different in the conceptualization of it, but I'd imagine most of the same themes/tone would be intact. I'm happy with how QFG5 came out in th...

Lucky you. My anthology disc only has the German version in DOS... It might just be mislabeled. On my Anthology CD, when I install it it says it's the German voice version, but everything's in English. You should give it a try. And QFGF, the > is part of the command line. I can get you a screenshot...

Something I just wanted to point out that I didn't see addressed in the locked thread. The main reason for QFG2 not being out 2 years ago as planned was because AGDI decided that they wanted to develop and produce Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine under their commercial banner, Himalaya Studios. ...

do exactly this:

Z:\>mount c c:\

Z:\>c:

C:\>cd\sierra\qganth\qg4cd             (Or whatever your directory is for QFG4)

C:\SIERRA\QGANTH\QG4CD>sierra.exe

And then the game will run. Good luck!

You need to mount C:\ as a whole for the path to be correct. I know, DOSBox tells you not to mount C as a whole, but this is one of the times where you must ignore the posted warning and just do it. In your Resource.CFG file, it has a path for where you're supposed to go with the voice file, and if ...
