Re: I need help...maybe from an AGD?
The internet may not always be great place to look for advice. But...sometimes one seeks opinions from (fairly) like-minded people. It's easy to assume most people here are gamers. Right? And judging by the title "reviving past adventures" in the frame bar...Nostalgic. Nostalgic gamers are...

Re: Coming of Age Depression
I guess that's true...to quote an old NYHC band, Down Low, they had a great line that went: "When I think of what could've been, it makes it hard to start again." I mean, I kinda promised myself I wouldn't be one of those people-- both as a punk and hardcore savant and computer/video game ...

Coming of Age Depression
I'm 24-going-on-25. I went through, and might still be going through, something of a quarter-life crisis on my last birthday. But as 2008 has been a year full of loss on many levels for me and my loved ones...I guess I've spent a lot of time putting things into perspective. It's just ironic and kind...

Re: I need help...maybe from an AGD?
ACCOUNTANTS can't be PUNK ROCKERS!!!!!! You'd be surprised at how many of us hold down very "professional" jobs. Al Barr (the original Radicts, Dropkick Murphys, Street Dogs) is an attorney, Jeff from 2 Man Advantage is a paralegal and the singer of that band is an architect, everyone in ...

"Didi Cardoso, managing editor of Grrlgamers.com, a video game review website produced by women, said that the trends in female-oriented games are pink boxes, fashion, cooking, babies and makeup. "I think a girl's world is a little bigger than that," she said Sutton, in New York to c...

Re: I need help...maybe from an AGD?
Men who say "Women don't *insert topic here*" are usually ones that aren't good at it themselves. Like the argument men tried to make for years that women are bad at math and other logic problems. I not only have better logic than most men I know, but for crying out loud I have 20 credits ...

Re: QfG3 bug.
There's some cool things about QFG3. I think a lot of people are divided up between saying it's a great game or a crappy game (much like QFG5). The classic humor's present: Sanford and Son as the junk sellers, and Kalb the over the top meat seller. Meerbats on the savannah! There's great follow-thro...

Re: Halloween 2008
Sounds like an awesome idea! If I had a condo/bigger apartment...I'd do a haunted house thingie. But I'm going to a Halloween party at my friend's house this year, they get to go all out with a mini haunted house and tons of decorations since they have a duplex to work with. And I'll be bartending a...

Gold Triforce DS? *bows down in awe*
But I have the Triforce purse. ^_^ People see it and ask me if it's the biohazardous materials symbol, or a devil-worshippin' thing. Geez, and I thought Zelda would be a more universal thing by now.

After actually tallying up....I got more GBA games than DS ones! Clunky old DS stays. That and I'm too poor for any new consoles as it is.

Re: Halloween 2008
I'd still trick-or-treat if I was visiting family this year. In the burbs I did it every year. But in NYC, most adults don't unless they're accompanying their kids...during the day. If I knocked on someone's door wearing the Peg Bundy costume at night, I'd most likely get someone offering me a Roofi...

Re: Halloween 2008
That'd be awesome...one of my friends held a costume party one year where the rule was you had to go with someone as a famous (or infamous) pair-- whether it was a couple or friends. Beetlejuice and Lydia! The dress I made was sick and no one had seen that much Aquanet since 1988.

Halloween 2008
I stopped going trick-or-treating when I was 17, but I still dress up every year! I'm going as Peg Bundy. The fact that my budget is restricted is only adding to the fun and challenge. I got 2 red wigs off ebay, and will go nuts with a soldering gun. What are your costume plans?

Re: POLL: Who would blow up with happieness for a new QFG
It's not just Magna Cum Laude, look at all these other crappy games on the market that have basically sullied the good name of adventure gaming. Out of curiosity I tried out a bunch of the Nancy Drew games because I loved reading the books growing up, and I loved mystery games like Eagle Eye Mysteri...

Re: Is it necessary to buy a saurus?
The lowest I was able to haggle it down to was 10 dinars. But I'll take the designer's word for it.
Just keep rejecting his prices with the regular talk icon, then he'll start getting all hard up about selling the Saurus.
And the Saurus is just too cute to stay mad at.

Sweet bejesus. I'm still a student, in other words, basically a hobo with an unfinished MBA... ...and wish it was finished so I could buy those companies and have it done right . Or at least got the intangible (franchise). A majority of people behind those mergers don't realize uncaptured niche mark...

Hey yeah I remember most of the FoxKids shows...Power Rangers, I didn't care much for them but I remember when they were insanely popular. This kid in my 4th grade class was totally obsessed with the Pink Ranger. Then there was that cheap knockoff, the VR Troopers...and the Goosebumps series adapted...

But Princess Daisy...? Who TF was Princess Daisy?! Not Princess Peach from the games? Princess Toadstool from the cartoons? I loved the Mario cartoons, and the Zelda cartoons. I was flipping through the channels the other day and saw there's a new Kirby cartoon? It's cute. Don't remember F Zero thou...

Re: Game & Movie Sequels That Just Never Should Have Been Made
Think about it...which video game to movie crossovers actually ended up being good? Remember being all hyped up about the Mario Bros movie? Now there's our wasted childhoods right there! It didn't even have the sentimental quality of The Wizard (basically a giant Nintendo commercial and a total mess...

Crap crap CRAP! I can nevvvver get into the Laibon's hut. It's simply not letting me. I'll try resetting the NPC dialog trees with the elders and Uhura by exhausting all the options, but it looks like I'm stuck starting all the way from the beginning of the game! After I worked up the stats real nic...

I was going to start a new thread in this forum about a QFG3 problem, but saw it's being talked about here-- I can't even get the INITIATION to start let alone buy the bride. How do I do it?! The bug was like this: I beat Uhura at the spears and bridge. I have pretty good stats. The only thing I did...

Re: Game & Movie Sequels That Just Never Should Have Been Made
True...look at how some movie directors end up butchering something great! But I liked the original movie better. Maybe it's just because I find Sarah Michelle Gellar annoying, and never got most people around me at the time. ^_^

Re: Is Nintendo DS becoming a 2D garbage pail
Gamer perspective: Keep the 2D sidescrollers and RPGs coming! Will never get enough of those. 2D graphics just flow better, and are FAR more aesthetically pleasing. Good graphics kinda make or break a game for me, it's the secondmost important thing to actual gameplay. Business perspective: They sho...

Remember that movie Cruel Intentions? I had no idea there was a Cruel Intentions 2 until I was bored at 3 AM looking random crap on Wikipedia.... Does it belong on this list?! Also, some people may or may not realize this but before the TV series "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", there was an ac...
