Can't get QFG1 to work?

The old copy you had on your tandy was probably the original game.  That's the only one out there you can buy that I'm aware of, but you should be able to get the sound to work if you use a brilliant program called DOSBOX just google it and you should be on your way to enjoying QFG1 in all its origi...

Happy DAY!

:lol  :D  :D Well, Happy Day to you Father Ghostface! :)   Olive garden is one of my family's favorite restaurants, especially for their endless soup & salad at lunchtime. I also remember when I was 13, turning 14.  I had just finished 8th grade.. I think that was the summer I finally visited a ...

How did you save the tour as a movie?  I'd like to do that for you guys.. anyways.. based on the fact the two towers aren't in newyork, i'd say the pictures taken there are newer than 4 years ago.. but according to the shot of my house.. judging by the cars in the drivew...

football vs. soccer

So I guess this is as good a place as any to ask.. why are two sports called by the same name?  American vs. European football??  Anybody have an answer?  And where did the term 'soccer' come from, if that wasn't the original term?  Seems like an odd name for a sport.. 'soccer'.. for it just to be i...

beds and chairs

Well, obviously in the qfg series you could opt to camp for the night.. and you could sit at the chair in the inn in qfg1.. In Robin Hood, what is it called.. longbow?  you could use your bed in the cave to sleep each night - but it wasn't fully interactive, i think you could only sleep when you ent...

On Topic. Limits?

Hmm.. I'm not sure who the impressionists or cubists are.. some modern art-forms i suppose?  But I won't let that stop me from putting some thought into this discussion.   You are talking specifically about the limitations imposed on making adventure games.  So I think talking about story/plot/chara...

Hey guys

I think I got a picture I'd like you to see.. but I only have pictures of me in costume.. so do you want to see me as a jester, or as a gypsie?  I've gotta say, they are both good representations of what I really look like, because I'm not really normal, so a normal pic would be the farthest from wh...

End for Guybrush

And so the pirate has finally met his match.  I say, this, to us, is worthy of acknowledgment.  A passing of the torch so to speak.  Sierra and Lucas Arts, our two favorite adventure game makers, are thru making adventure games.  They made them for our generation to enjoy, and if these games are to ...

The Avatar's Quote Of The Day:

"Every possible idea may be said to be used existentially, for every possible idea qualifies and is true of a real world. And the number of real worlds, in a word, is indefinite. Every idea therefore in a sense is true, and is true of reality. The question with every idea is how far and in what...
