Not Erpy, but...
Fender178, I can't remember if it's in this thread or not, but AGD2 already announced that they're cancelling their secret project, which was SQ2, so that there will NOT be two separate teams remaking the same game. They don't want to step on Kippesoep's toes, so to speak. That, and as I understand ...

Re: Future remake?
Well, I personally enjoyed both SQ1VGA and QFG1VGA. QFG1VGA was actually the first QFG I played, so to me it WAS the nostalgic mood. :) If I didn't have such horrendous problems running on my computer now, I'd likely play it through at least once a week. As for what Erpy said about people having low...

Re: re:
I was wondering the same thing as Chris, just out of curiosity. I'd imagine that they weren't too far along, as AGD2 said, their scripter bailed out and I doubt they would cancel the project if it was really near completion. And FullJee, um, take it easy, man! I'm sure Kippesoep's remake of SQ2 will...

Re: Future remake?
Wow...that's kind of a shock! Both the secret project announced, and then announced that it is going to be cancelled in the same day. Well, again, it's honourable of Tierra to back down for the sake of Kippesoep, as well as being able to admit when something goes wrong, rather than keeping fans in t...

Re: the well
Hmmm...sounds like a timing issue. What's the speed of your processor? I don't really think that matters to AGS, but maybe it's something. Maybe try setting the game speed down on the options menu. I have the game speed set in the middle on my game and I've never drowned in the well before.

H...

Re: VERSION 3.0?
I think they'll be releasing it once AGS is updated. You might want to check out the AGS website to find out when that will be.

~Wolfgang

Re: Cancel Intro
A mouse click will cancel the Tierra intro...not KQ1VGA's actual introduction (the part when you click on "Introduction" on the menu).

And, yes, that would be nice, DasJan. I've clicked on the wrong button before and then had to sit through the intro. Not a bad intro, mind you, but ...

I believe the bug you are referring to isn't really a bug. It has to do with the pathfinding program in AGS. From what I've heard from the AGD's, this has been fixed in recent versions of AGS and will be fixed in KQ1VGA version 3.0. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, however...

~Wolfgang <...

Sashanan
According to Sashanan himself, he is called the "Diamond of the Desert". I'm not sure if that's what his name means or not, but if it is, chances are the language it's from is Arabic. Everything else about that game had an Arabic theme, so why not the names, too?

~Wolfgang

<i...

How many times?
Ok. I know you've all played KQ1VGA and most likely all of you have finished it. My question here is, how MANY times have you finished it...i.e. played it all the way through? (You HAVE done it more than once haven't you? :P )

Myself, I've finished it around 25 times. I say "around"...

To Frogman
You could just have the dialogue be similar to QFG3 & 4, in that if you wanted to ask someone about something, click the talk icon on them, and if you wanted to tell about something, walk near them and click the talk icon on yourself. That way, depending on who you clicked on, it would run a dif...

Re: QFG2: Communication Poll
I like them both, and I'm sure no matter which one you put in there it will work out very well. Personally, though, I tend to favor the point-and-click interface as opposed to text parsers. It took me a while to remember to spell "Shapeir" and "Raseir" instead of "Shapier&qu...
