Does that also apply to the NES FF3 as well? It does as far as I'm concerned. And FFVI really isn't that long. It can be done in well under 20 hours provided, of course, that you don't make your party godlike. And in reality, all you need is one or two godlike characters (which doesn't take that lo...

It's the better variety of "Armageddon Fist". (certainly someone who visits GameFaqs boards must have heard of that one) Rather than alternating between punch rush and booya, you alternate between booya and heel drop. Not only are they easier to perform, heel drop is also stronger than pu...

FF5: X-fight combined with the ninja's two-handed can get you through most battles just fine, especially when coupled with the (otherwise inaccurate) drain swords. And if there's undeads, a couple of requims will get rid of them. That's what I used, too, except when I got to Neo X-Death I got my as...

THe other weakness is the lack of development of the final boss, just like in IX. Honestly, after the well-developed Kefka of VI and Sephiroth/JENOVA of VII, VIII and IX's final bosses were quite a letdown. With that much, I will agree. Kefka and Sephiroth were great ending bosses, and each in thei...

Yes I do OWN them lol As I've said many times I only buy stuff which is worth it! PHOTOSHOP'D!!! :D Only kidding. Hey, I just wanted to make sure we were speaking the same language here, that's all! :hat Plus, if I hadn't gotten experience with the Mimic Job Class, I might have completely missed Go...

FFT was great. Some of the battles were impossible if you were ill-prepared (Riovanes castle, anyone?) but all in all it was a very fun game to play through. I liked the Job system in FFT and FFIII, but for some reason I didn't in FFV. Dunno why. *shrugs* I'm waiting for FFIII to be re-released, I o...

Re: Death

I have kept Cait with Dice ever since. That's funny, because I keep Cait Sith in the airship whenever possible. :p Consequently, I haven't seen many of his slots. I wonder if the All Over slot would kill Magic Pot without needing an Elixir. I'm sure someone has done it at some point. I also wonder,...

Rabbits, eh? Hey that reminds me of Setzer's Lagomorph. What is that thing, anyway? I know it's rabbit-like, but what is it really? Lagomorpha is the genus for rabbits or something, isn't it? *Has been a while since he took Biology* :p Speaking of Setzer, has anyone ever been in a battle, used Slots...

Re: Responses

No, I don't know much about XII. Just that there's a bunny girl. :| And the battle system is somewhat like FFXI's. I thought FFXI was going to be the only online one, and they were going back to the "normal" offline play with FFXII. It's been a while since I've checked any news on it, tho...

To Wolfgang: FFIII (presuming you meant the Japanese FFIII) has not yet been remade for any system; it is the only one left that has not. Really? I thought it had. I know I and II have, but I thought III was as well. Hmm...pity. III's an awesome game! :) As to FFXI, it was kept as part of the serie...

Well...I can't really think off the top of my head of an MMORPG that you don't have to pay a monthly fee for. Blizzard doesn't charge for the use of battle.net for their Diablo games, unless you don't consider those MMORPGs (some don't, but then again I wonder what they ARE called :p). I play singl...

I played FFII and FFIII on emulators before they were re-released on consoles. It took a while to get into FFII, but if you did it right, you could be godlike by the end of the game. Yeah, the level systems was quite bizarre, I'll admit, but overall it a was pretty good game nonetheless. Except that...

The game will hang before the whirlwind maze if she is in your party (when Tifa forces herself into your party), and will hang indefinitely before the fight with Sephiroth (unavoidable) if you Gameshark her into your party. Just a little experience. She does make Emmy a bit easier, though. ;) BTW, f...

Yeah, Shadow was another good one. Of course, the game almost expects Shadow to die, because when you find him in the cave on the Veldt in the WoR, the caption (in the SNES version anyway...can't remember if they corrected it in the PS Anthology) mentions taking "her" back to Thamasa, beca...

But FFVII is really the only one where a character you get to choose can die. In FF2, people leave your party (and rejoin, in the case of Layla and Gordon) but you have no say in when it happens. FF5, Galuf dies and you just LEAVE THE SCREEN and Krile comes in to replace him. Not very dramatic IMO, ...

I think cause he's missing a frame, to get the file size under 6k..... Bt Actually, it seems to me that the frames weren't properly aligned when the .gif was made. Try taking the animation apart and aligning the character's head so that it's in the same location in each frame and then put the .gif ...

Blackthorne - Any specific reason the dude in your 'tar walks with a limp? I know you said he's a villian, so maybe that's his thing? I mean, all villians gotta have a thing, right?

Oh, and before anyone says it, I'm talking about his thing, NOT his thing-y. Dig? ;)

CRC Errors indicate a corrupted download. The only way around that is, unfortunately, to re-download the file.

The Fairy Tale is Hansel and Gretel, and in that story the old witch gets shoved into the boiling pot. Anyway, you can't do that if you can't get into the house in the first place, now can you? :p To get into the house, just knock on the door. If the witch answers and tells you to enter, then leave ...

Wow, no kidding! Thanks for the info, brainiac! Solomon was well-known for converting or containing many jinn; the typical method of containment was in bottles, sealed with his own seal ring, and cast into the ocean. So that explains the whole "Genie in a bottle" thing, eh? Now I also see ...

Re: MYTH!

I noticed no one has made any real commentary on the myths behind Trial by Fire. I just came out of a Persian mythology class, so if you have any questions (like just what is a Shaitan), I can answer. Awesome! I've always been interested in Persian myths, although I really don't know much about the...
