Re: Buying Roland MT-32 Sound Module

That IS great to hear, MI, I can't wait. Well. I won two MT32 auctions, one of which is definately a first gen. MI, do you know what the differences are between a first and second gen, or did you already expplain that one somewhere in the thread? Can't really find it right now. Right now, I'm busy r...

Re: Buying Roland MT-32 Sound Module

Well. I'll just give the extra ones to you then. :lol No seriously, I think I actually might end up with two first gen Roland MT-32 within the week. The first one being really expensive (but does include original box, manual etc. [wtf?]) and the other one being really cheap. Dammit I never have pati...

Re: Buying Roland MT-32 Sound Module

Getting this working and set up is a piece of cake. My mini laptop transformed into an über retrogaming experience machine with SC-55 synergy. Man this is so AWESOME! I really don't have the words for it. Aside from Sierra games, the 7th guest and the 11th hour sound just....heavenly. King's Quest ...

Thanks for the advice.

Yes, my SC55 has a line in, and I already tested it, it passes sound through like a birthday cake. Well. Need to get that MIDI cable tomorrow!

Re: Buying Roland MT-32 Sound Module

So, from what I gather from this thread, all I need one of these; http://www.musicallin.nl/online_winkel/computer_en_muziek/midi_en_audio_verbindingen_interfaces_bundles/midi_naar_usb_interface_kabel_37305 And then I can use the phones or line out on the sc to connect it to any output device I want!...

Re: Prepare...

Lol, don't be foolish, I wasn't saying Project X equals eight words.

I was just thinking of the X as in X-files, for something hidden, secret, or X-factor, for something extra;
to inspire people that the idea of the X doesn't have to be the end of a word even if it's not a roman numeral.

Re: Prepare...

The X, not a roman numeral.

Also, I suspect it won't be referring to jupiter in hermetic qabbalah, so what about something in the fashion of 'Project X'?

Re: Buying Roland MT32 Sound Module

Looks like I've bought a SC-55!! Yay. Congratulations!! Did you get the SC-55 MKII on EBay from the seller in New York State? I like to see classic adventure gamers scooping up these devices. :D Still, I'm a little envious, but I decided to wait a bit before getting a second sound module; I still h...

Regarding kq controversies:
KQ3 storyline: fans initially thought Graham and / or Valanice wouldn't be involved because nobody knew who Gwydion was.
KQ8 storyline: minimal involvement of the Graham and his family

Thanks for the info, MI. I trust your judgment blindly. I will just try to get both. pbpb33, I regard them as a collectors item as well, but very good ones at that. I would also be interested in recording all these fabulous old soundtracks, if I could ever manage that, although that's being done som...

Re: Stuff I'd like to see in a new game

I have the superpower of turning back to the previous section when I don't like the route I took on an interactive book. It would be cool to see that in a videogame. Maybe that's why I like so much Sands of Time. :lol I hope we'll be able to do that in the movie. Srsly. About the iPad thing, the st...
