Ok... this is the newest version of the game's interface. However, it is not the final version (for example, the inventory-icon will be changed). So what do you think? How the icons still could be improved? Ps. The eye- and hand- icons are founded on the scanned pictures of my own eye and hand. On t...

Finnish translation

Obviously you haven't a Finnish translation pack in KQ1 yet? I might be interested in making of Finnish translation to KQ1VGA. Would you need such a translation? There are 2 symbols in Finnish that don't exist in English: ä and ö. Probably it isn't possible to make a good translation without those s...

Why don't you show more screenshots from QFG2VGA?

I suppose you have already drawn almost all of the backgrounds in QFG2 VGA. I know and believe (like probably everybody else here) that the backgrounds will be very, very good. :) So why don't you show us more of them? There are only 3 backgrounds in QFG2 VGA -page and they have been there a very lo...

I know that I shouldn't reveal too many backgrounds at this time... but I couldn't resist to show you one picture more. As you can see, the picture is a little different one than the backgrounds I have shown here earlier. And if someone is interested, the game's name will probably be "The valle...

Ok, ok... I will fix up entire GUI.

Obviously it was a very good idea to post the icon pictures here. Almost everyone has said that the icons aren't good enough. When I have completed the new GUI, I'm going to show it here.

The icon is just an idea, though. You don't have to use it, but if you'd like a high quality version of it, and not a gif, just PM me and I'll send you one, JLM. Bt It really looks better than my original "Walk" -icon... thanks! Hopefully the rest of my icons are good enough. I'm still go...

Are you working on the game entirely by yourself or do you have a team? Yes, I'm making most of the game entirely myself (like writing, scripting, composing music etc.). However, not everything. We have a very small "team" with my father. He makes, for example, all the dialogue potraits t...

I think the backgrounds and sprites are BEAUTIFUL. I understand what some of the talk about icons looking cartoony is; the only one I think it like that is the "Walk Icon". Maybe I'll do a paintover for you later, just to give you another option. I do love the woodgrain textures! I'm exci...

What about now? I added a "wood-texture" to the GUI and sharpened the icons a little.

This picture will probably give you a clue about the interface and style of the game. I feel I have revealed perhaps too many pictures here. Now, I will keep the rest of them secret for an indefinite period. I don't want to spoil every surprises that the game includes... http://koti.mbnet.fi/~jlm/ka...

How did you animated the river?

I'm curious to know what was the technique you used to animate the river in KQ1 VGA?

The animated river looks very good! What programs and methods you used in making of it? Is it generally a very difficult process to animate water?

WOW that wall is huge. BUt I like it cuz it makes me want to wonder what the heck is behind it! Thanks! However, I'm not going to tell you very much about the game's plot at this time... ;) I can though reveal, that the game's world is situated in an unknown valley in somewhere north several centur...

Our? You mean you're part of a team/project? Well, it's almost just my own project, that is, I make most of it alone. However, for example, my father takes part in making of backgrounds and dialogue pictures. Of course, I will also need beta testers and help in translations (in a future when the ga...

Thanks for comments. Our goal is also to challenge AGDI in making of adventure games... :)

Yes, the wall in the second picture is modelled with a 3D program and then edited with a hyperpen tablet and Adobe Photoshop Elements.

What do you think of these background pictures? I'm not sure if I have sometimes far ago shown some of these pictures here earlier, but however: How could I make them better? http://koti.mbnet.fi/~jlm/risteys-uusi.jpg http://koti.mbnet.fi/~jlm/isomuuri1e.jpg http://koti.mbnet.fi/~jlm/jarvi1f.jpg

In generally, what would be the best way to make digital music to adventure games?

Is there available some programs for this use?
