I only maxed my skills in QFG1EGA. It is easier with keyboard and only takes a month. The drawback is all of the games are easy after that. Depends on your ability at arcade.  Mine kinda sucks, and it hasnt gotten better as I got older, ,so the stat boosts helped (like with Fred :P )  Moreover ther...

You CAN max out all stats in QFG1 but its very time consuming.  One of my strategies in the first game was to always give my characters every skill of "1" - it was a pain in the ass in the sense that it required me to practice extra-hard to develop them all equally but it could be done.  (...

first time I've seen those! Wow! that game looks really good.  I like how its got a QFG1-esque sortt of "feel" about the graphics, but also retains a sense of familiarity about how the original game looked.  I also like the changes (like Uhura) which looks more faithful to the later games....

I found your site shortly after I found this one (again.. months before I joined up though) and was playing through QFG again after a long hiatus.  Alot of the stuff in it kidna helped in parts.  Thanks :D Edit:  oh yeah, and I'm REALLY glad you helped get QFG5 out there.  I know some people didn't ...

HEaring about the ghouls in the Forbidden City really perked me up.  I do hope it gets in there (if not, I'll live... *sigh*)  I remember being excited about exploring it and a bi tdisappointed when it was pretty linear. Another thing occured to me.  What about the Griffon?  Is his combat style goin...

There's a total of 16 hotkeys used in combat in QFG2VGA (including the shortcut for running away) Lets see.. 9 basic keys (3 attack, 3 defense, 3 dodge like in the last) 1  running away 1 spell screen (I assume the spell windows work like in QFG1/QFG3) that leaves five "extra" keys.  At l...

I'll probably submit an application, because I am curious.  But I also would like to try (if I can) to help out.  not wholly altruistic, but hey.. I think when the time DOES come, alot of people will clamber because they're eager REALLY Eager to see and play the game.   The thing is, its not "p...

I've never played the Worlds of Ultima series.  I keep thinking I should add those to the list,  because I was a huge ultima fan (then again I never finished 7, 7 pt 2, 8, or 9, or the expansions like "Forge of Virtue" :P

That's actually a really cool touch to combat.. makes it alot more "believable" and interesting, at least with the Jackalmen. I suppose the Brigands still attack you individually though during the daytime :P  They might have made a good "swarm" enemy too. Ghouls would have been d...

I always thoguht it would be awful too once I started the game (kinda like having to avoid all the random monsters that could come up and kill you when you only walked slowlllyyy away from them...)   And alot of the intiial time consumption and frustration was largely due to trudging the mountain pa...

I've followed this thread since it started,  but I haven't bothered replying to it (wanted to.)  Hope noone minds this being revived (again) First, adeyke's point about puzzle solving & characters was a relevant point.  I would only add this didn't apply as much to the Paladin (who was till basi...

That's 15/hr for programming, not bug finding. :P

Now that I think about it, is 15 bucks/hr what a programmer could expect to make, or is that more of a "for the purposes of my analogy" number?

Um, barring something like entering your name I can't really imagine where you would need it.   Most of the "question/answer" topics (like with Aziza's Q&A when you first enter her house, or WIT) can be handled much the same way the questions to Erasmus' house was in QFG1VGA(multiple o...

Yup, its base strength is closer to the broad sword than to the normal dagger. What about Soulforge?  I remembered fiddling around with that when messign with the Editor in my copy of QFG2 and I vaguely recall you could wield it as a weapon (won't burst into flame, though sometimes I wish it did.) ...

With regards to most of the other games, I think in one of my more insane iterations when I was younger, I pushed QFG1 to around day 50-60 (or maybe more,  this is along time ago and my memory sucks) simply by killing stuff in the goblin training grounds (resting in between to recover stamina)  I th...

Bugs are continuously being crossed off the list. New bugs are still being added, but they are getting to be fewer and fewer, so headway is being made. Keep in mind that after we are done bug hunting, we are going to turn the game over to beta testers to bug hunt on as well. They are liable to find...

Can you guess when  will QFG2  be finally ready for download? There is only 6 months left of this year. And AGD2 said it will be finished in this year.  Time flyes fast isn't? So will it be after 6 or 5 or 4 or 3 or 2 or 1 month. Sorry about that boring question. I think they may forgive you, its m...

Back when I was a younger, and before the internet (the BBS/Telnet age) I used to play alot of text based MUDS (predecessors of MMORPG basically) and I can tell you, those things WERE horribly time consuming to play.  Not only did you have to devote alot of time to levelling up at some point, but yo...
