Re: A few Questions about this remake ?

Thanks for the link! Bee You Ti Full!!! Looks like this game will have some of AGDI's best backgrounds yet. The beach scene is amazing... I can imagine that hanging on a wall somewhere. It's a shame AGDI isn't able to sell any of those paintings. It would be cool if they had some kind of contest whe...

Re: Online Community Philosophy (Split Thread)

As someone who used the POS forum around the time their TSL Episode 1 came out, I remember the unfortunate reaction of some on the TSL team to some of the criticism they were getting. One had even posted what resembled an (ill-advised, in my opinion) "Dear Haters" letter, if I remember cor...

Re: A few Questions about this remake ?

(apologies in advance if these topics have already been covered elsewhere) Have any KQ3 Redux screenshots been officially released, other than the three small ones on the teaser page? Can you tell us whether we are going to get any more sneak peeks or a full game site before the final release, or do...

Re: A few Questions about this remake ?

We did attempt to contact Robbie Benson. However, we were unable to secure his services. The part of Alexander is played by a professional actor though. He's done a great job and I can't wait for you all to enjoy his voice! I think he's a great actor, but I'm kind of glad Benson's not doing the you...

Re: A brief account of KQ3 Redux' history

I suspect comparisons will be unavoidable. The only thing I can say is that I sincerely hope that people aren't gonna be assholes about it and blast the game they liked less. (or even worse...hypocritical assholes who blast a game they praised in the past) In the end, a lot of love and effort went ...

Re: A brief account of KQ3 Redux' history

I have played many AGS and fan-made adventure games over the last several years (and have enjoyed them all!), but AGDI's adventure games truly hold a special place in my heart. I mean this very sincerely. Their KQ1VGA and KQ2+VGA games genuinely blew me away when I first played them many years ago, ...

Re: Happy New Year 2011

I think I remember seeing a string of congratulatory messages, birthday and holiday greetings here about a month ago. Maybe part of it might have just been that that one got lost in the mix or maybe people were suffering from a little bit of holiday greeting fatigue by the time it was posted. 8o In ...

Re: The Greatest Quest Ever Told!

Agreed! That was the only "KQ" game I stopped playing after about a week... and never finished. :( Sigh, I wish I had more time to play all these old games. Playing them puts me in such a good mood. I'm so grateful that people like you all exist and organize these kinds of discussion conte...

oh wow, oops! :o I didn't even see all those other discussion topics where everything is explained under the "the contest" category. I had just clicked on the "greatest quest ever told" thread and couldn't understand what was going on. Seems like a lot of planning went into this!...

Re: The Greatest Quest Ever Told!

I actually had read the posts in that thread, but still didn't have too clear an idea of what was happening. Maybe I missed something? The way you describe it as a playthrough/book club makes things a lot clearer, though. Anyway, I wasn't trying to be negative... like I said, it sounds like a cool i...

Re: The Greatest Quest Ever Told!

Greatest in what way? You have to look at each game in the context in which it was made (what technology was available, etc.) and how successful the game was at accomplishing its goals. I believe different games have different strengths. And what if a game was influential and ground-breaking at the ...

Re: Gray Matter Cover Art. Thoughts? Game coming this fall!!

I think it's just from corresponding for so many years with little stopping in combination of so many cultures. I've had skype conversations with Broomie where he'll tell me a great joke he's heard recently and I feel like I get it but have no idea why it would be funny and vice-versa too. Of all t...

Re: Scream 4

I just hope that no super fans dress up in costume on opening night like some movie extras did in the opening scene of Scream 2. I don't think I could deal with that. :eek I couldn't deal with seeing someone in that mask sitting a few seats from me in the dark... would freak me out too much.

I just took another look at the Scream 4 trailer... are there different versions? The trailer I was talking about is only 56 seconds long... (hope it's ok to post this link)... here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJII_7dH8Rc Do you hear the "music" that starts at :23 in? But I looke...

Re: Scream 4

What did you think of the first official Scream 4 trailer? I just now saw it. I think they could have done a much better job with it. It's nowhere near as good as the Scream 2 trailer, and for almost thirty seconds they play this weird music that sounds like someone using a jackhammer with a tambour...

Re: Scream 4

I haven't seen any of these movies in years, but there are so many cool parts that I remember vividly from the first two: #1) the opening, the finale, gale gets punched scene, the school bathroom scene, Sidney being chased up the stairs and in #2) the opening, the sorority house sober sister scene, ...

Re: Scream 4

I'm with you. I'll be there on opening night. Screams 1 & 2 are pretty much 2 of my most favorite movies. I actually have a ghostface costume robe and mask hanging in my closet and in sight as I type this. I usually wear just the robe and hood part on Halloween and make some other kind of costum...

Re: Schwarzenegger v. EMA

Which is exactly what the self-imposed ratings system does. I mean, seriously, if an adult took his or her child to an R-rated movie and then complained about the negative effect on the kid, very few people would take their argument seriously. M-rated games are kept out of the hands of those under ...

Re: Schwarzenegger v. EMA

It seems the problem with this law is that it is too vague, even if it has a very noble goal. It's much easier to ban the sale of alcohol or cigarettes to kids, since these things can be easily defined, but it's another thing to try to ban kids from buying something subjectively determined inappropr...

This is interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing. You know, although I'm glad the transcript of the proceeding is made public, it pisses me off that videorecording isn't allowed at the US Supreme Court. I would have really liked to have watched this whole thing. It's our damn government... we should be...

Re: Telltale Games take on Back to the Future and Jurassic Park

BTTF looks amazing! I am so impressed. It seems like they're really taking the time to do things right. Just hearing that theme again makes me so happy... it has got to be one of the best movie themes ever. It has special meaning to me because that's the music that was played over and over at the wa...
