Re: Its not the game - its the memories

If you´d discover KQ1 today i doubt you would be fond of it. NOT because of its unsightly appearance but rather because - let´s be honest - it´s pretty dull game. I've never played the original, and indeed, I did think the remake was pretty dull. A few interesting puzzles, but mostly it only kept m...

I should have phrased my question better. I understand why sniping works given that people usually don't enter what they're truly willing to spend. My question is why those of you who don't enter your true maximum price use a lower one, since that does open you up to sniping.

You know, I've never gotten sniping... so long as eBay can be trusted, why not just put in your real maximum price and be done with it? If someone successfully snipes you then, they could have outbid you anyway.

I have a friend who once named his character "Foolish Mortal"

It works well in some of the scenes in the first three games (where characters actually use the hero's name instead of a title)

Use IE. ;) You can have two browsers. Just don't use IE for casual surfing.

I doubt you'll like my advice, which is format c: ;)

It seriously is my advice, though. By reinstalling Windows you can be sure you got everything.

Re: "The Good 'ol Days"

As a huge compliment, I can say that while there are a few highly regarded 'new' games I'm playing through, this is the only one that had me so engrossed that I couldn't strip myself away for hours at a time...other games, a little session and it's time to move on. Indeed. There are few games that ...

Re: I can not restore in KQ2!!

I guess check diskspace, like dosuser says, though I'd hope that wouldn't be a problem. Have you tried downloading a new copy? Perhaps from a different mirror? Your download itself might be corrupted and therefore not have a proper save capability. From my experience with Sierra Adventure games, it ...

I can't recall the names I've used before. The ones I'm playing through QFG1 currently in preperation for QFG2VGA have been namei after Babylon 5 characters so far (Marcus the Paladin-to-be and Sheridan the Fighter). Not sure if I'll keep that up with the Magic User and Thief though.

Hmmm, now that you mention it, that WOULD be useful.

Hmm... I know I'm really anticipating this game when I try to read the meaning of a winking cartoon. ;)

I've played Halo 2 on others' X-Boxs a few times. It and the X-Box are okay, though I didn't spend nearly enough time playing it to get the real hang of the controller. My thoughts on the X-Box and consoles in general: Why should I buy an expensive gaming computer when I already have a nice multipur...

QFG1: The stats system is at its best in the first game, IMO. You start out weak and having to work at the stables for your money, and if you max your stats you end up with a powerful character that can easily take on anything in the game. I also liked Mage's Maze. :) Too bad there weren't multiple ...

Must not be the final batch that enter from the left, then. You have to stop the ones coming from the bottom of the screen (close the door), stop the ones coming from the right of the screen (move the chair against the door, but only after the bottom ones have gone away) and then the ones you're sup...

It's possible to leave your hero nameless, at least in QFG1VGA.

Zigi, I'd bet you won't have to worry about this. You could rename your hero when importing in QFG2EGA, and I assume you'll be able to in AGDI's VGA as well.

I always thought the loss of inventory when going from 1 to 2, and from 2 to 3 for that matter, was odd. 3 to 4 had plenty of explanation, of course, and you could always say Erasmus was a bit careless with 4 to 5... It doesn't detract much, though, and it's not like having them would be a major hel...
