Re: The name "Wages of War"

Not often, but you gotta wonder, did QfG1 have anything to do with the naming of a TV series like "So, you think you can dance?" etc.

Re: Quest for Glory and King's Quest fan art

Well... it is about time this community did something about it! I don't think Activision has experience the Sierra-fan community pressure yet! VU did, but eventually went after the fan-projects. *sigh*

That looks really good Timo! Some screenshots?

Re: The name "Wages of War"

LOL! You know... that can be quite a funny cartoon. :) I think Wages could be seen as a combo between 'wage' and 'wages'. Wages to me isn't actually receiving something, but giving, or cost. The 'Cost of War' in other words. Argh heck. Whatever. It's a cool name. Just like 'Trial by Fire' and 'Shado...

Re: Which Sierra Game Should Be Remade Next?

Iceman?

I doubt anything else will be done. Very few non-vga games have major following... at least not enough to motivate one to finish the project.

Perhaps remaking ALL the games to modern standards. (Graphics) But that could end up having a bunch of 3D-shooters... not at all what we want. :(

Re: Adventure-Game Studio...Best choice?

hetfield, it would be stupid to have QfG2 at higher res when the rest of the games are 320x200. No matter how much you debate it, your point doesn't make sense. Same for KQ. If you want, you're free to re-re-make the games yourself. (I'd suggest getting permission from the current owners of the lice...

LOL! That reminded me of my first site as well! Also started it about 12 years ago. I see I last updated (and last visited) it in 1998. :lol Looks stupid now! :lol Back then it wasn't as easy to create GIF animations as it is now. :) Was quite a skill! ...and Sierra adventure games weren't always known for their logic in solving the puzzles. LOL! Any adventure game... worst of all LucasArts games. :) But you're right. With that type of thinking you could use any item in your inventory to solve most of the puzzles in the game. It is just one of th...

So... you wouldn't think it strange if a white kid from the US was adopted by an east-african family? (In other words, away from the culture he/she knows and his/her people?) PS: I'm not making this a racial issue... I don't approve of black South African couples adopting black East African children...

Re: Can't save the game

If you can see icons for the files, the save game will probably have an icon with Valanice in front of the KQ-logo. You should even be able to double-click on the save game and go directly to the game.

Re: Can't save the game

Wow. That is strange. The game should work perfectly in SP2. You're not playing the game from a CD or something, right? Probably not since you've moved that file. In your 'My Saved Games' folder there should be a 'King's Quest II' folder, and the file in there. The file's name will probably be: &quo...

Hmmm... I think by QfG and QfG2 the 286 was already 'old news'. 386 and 486 were already hot on the market and the coming Pentium was big news. But I get your meaning. :)
