Mario's had the best games. Sonic comes in at a very close second, but his 3D adventures kind of fall apart when compared to Mario's 3D adventures. Plus, Mario's been in two excellent RPGs, to boot! I never played Crash's stuff, so I won't comment. Sonic does have the best story behind his character...
