I think all we know is that the Katta were living in Shapeir before the humans built the cities around the magic fountains, and that they have a very specific kind of magic.

Has it really been continuously developed since 97? Those graphics speak otherwise. They've had to have at least scrapped previous work and started from scratch graphics-wise a few times.

I can't remember if which computer I was using at the time, but it was probably either my Pentium 1 or my Pentium 4. I couldn't say whether or not I was using the patches or DOSBox or anything either. Like I said, it was a LOOOOOONG time ago.

This is all true, but for me, as a storyteller, playing around with possible origins and what if's are fun. I think it's great to attempt to fill the gaps with your own made-up stuff. I think it's why those gaps are there, to allow your imagination to invent cool ways to fill them. In the end, you'l...

It DID lead people back to Baba Yaga...recall that after Elsa was snatched the Baron sent an army to go kill her and she put their skulls atop her fence. The Dragon of Doom had been captured in Silmaria for centuries by the time he was released. Unless he also has magic time machine breath, I don't ...

Well, like I said, you get varying opinions in the same game. Zara seems to not have a doubt (which would play into her somewhat elitist character; of course she thinks Erana's buried here, it would mean she lives in the valley where Erana was buried), but people like Erasmus and the Sheriff say it'...

Yeah, QFG5 did it and it was cool, but if you pushed it any further than they did, you might as well just call it fan fiction. I mean, they weorked it all in well and you got to meet SOME new people in QFG5, and even at times it was not so good. And hey, what's hating on Nawar all about? Nawar rocks...

A Wizard's familiar would be a really cool thing to have. Far-see is only seeing, as you said, so you couldn't really do any communication, which is fine by me. I don't really think you need to add in those old characters. Any game that totally relies on old tricks usually ends up not being so good....

Um, I was making a joke about how not being able to get full points lives on into the remake.

I've outrun Yesufu before and won the initiation. I've only done it, like, twice, I think, because it's really hard and you have to have some high skills (and luck), but I know it can be done.

Well, I imagined that the events of QFG took place in "present day" in that universe. For example, if you were to use a parallel universe-hopping machine, you would arrive on Earth today. The thing about the "force wave" is what explains a land like Spielberg existing in a mediev...

Yeah, game making is like construction. You estimate a finished time, then multiply that by two.

Think about BUYING THEM!!! >:

:p

Actually, they're not the greatest literary works to ever spring from the ether, but they're worth a read if you're a KQ fan. I have Floating Castle and Kingdom of Sorrow. Floating Castle is better, IMO.

I don't know which "she" you're referring to, but people like Erasmus say that the Wizard Erana is SUPPOSED to be buried there, but that no one knows for sure. Opinions vary, on who you talk to. I think Zara says that it's her final resting place, but other people like the Sheriff seem to ...

They're all adventure games, and they do indeed rock. Many of the people who work at Telltale worked at LucasArts back during their adventure heyday.

And by getting close, he means that there'll only be a few months left if we're lucky. I've lost count of how many characters I've prepared for import into this QFG2. Usually, I just put them through QFG2EGA and then play the rest of the series after that, because I prefer to see a character from be...

Happy Birthday Fribbi

While it's a day late on your side of the shore, I'm sure, it's your birthday over here still, so happy birthday, Fribster! May you always be the happy, wacky Icelander that you are.

That particular one got canceled, so Steve Purcell took the rights over to Telltale and they made the ones that are out now.

Well, that's why you use DOSBox with those games, so you don't have those problems, heh. If it wasn't for the waffle walker, you'd take five steps then die of starvation.

Forgot if it appears in the jungle too. Well, you know, the idea with the Awful Waffle Walker is that y...
