Re: Needs to be made: QfG-style game with an East Asian setting

Yes I believe the Himalaya Studios game must use new characters. Here is my suggestion about the game that I posted in the Himalaya Studios forums . I would love to see an Adventure/RPG series like QFG. Maybe make the base characters all be able to advance into two or more distinct professions late ...

Re: Voice and Music Packs.

I have to admit that collecting older versions of Sierra games is interesting. Mainly due to locations being renamed (i.e. SQ4), or random characters taken out (i.e. QFG1VGA Earl from dinosaurs appears in the forest in older versions). But I just don't know about keeping older versions that are fill...

Re: My girlfriendhas lost her memory after a hard fall on her he

The only thing I can offer as advice is, take things slow. Take her to places you have been before, like your first date. Don't rush her back to the level your relationship was at before, she will need time... I wish you the best of luck my friend.

Re: Does Quest for Glory 5 Suck?

How about an option of no like:
"No, but doesn't fit in with past Quest for Glory games"
Cause I don't think it sucks, but it just doesn't feel like a good fit with the rest of the series.

Yes, imported characters get 25 points (as opposed to the 50 a new character gets) to assign to skills. Just enough for one additional skill or a moderate boost to your existing stats. http://www.agdinteractive.com/forum/images/avatars/moodpics/Nashswt.jpg So it looks like the best option for impor...

Re: ** COURSE 3 IN SESSION : AGDI REDESIGN/QFG2 LAUNCH thread **

I know everyone is excited about the game, but I guess I don't really see why the level is so very high. Don't get me wrong, I'll play the game and I appreciate all the work that's been put into it, but the anxiety over the release date strikes me as a little much. It seems like everyone has their ...

Re: Play a Sierra Game!

Have you tried to use the PCjr music driver with ScummVM? I noticed that someone made a feature request on 13 March 2008 for using MIDI for AGI. It does look like you would have to convert the AGI sound resources to MIDI files for this. Maybe we should add a feature request to see if they will add T...

Re: Play a Sierra Game!

How about we play the AGI games with both ScummVM and DOSBox? That way we can see if anyone can find any bugs using the ScummVM AGI engine. That will make it take longer then 20 minutes to complete one game.

I don't know the future release of SQ2VGA has me wanting to play some SQ1AGI. I have to prepare my Space Janitor character to face off with Vohaul's Ape goons. I have to say the Space Janitor class has always been the most, how you say, interesting. :lol

Re: Play a Sierra Game!

Are you trying to start a book club but with games, BT? And to top it all off, you have to pick AGI games? You expect us to read and type? Bad enough AGDI said they are not going to release a voice pack for QFG2VGA, you have to butt in and have us play games that require reading and typing skills......

What is going on with the site's SSL certificate? I was hoping that the problem would be resolved by now. Also shouldn't the store say something about the poster promotion, or should we just expect that it will ship with our order?

Re: The Gamers Thread: PS3, PC, Wii, 360... pick your poison!!

So you think AGS would have to be reversed engineered like ScummVM did to SCUMM to port to game systems? Or you think Chris Jones feels up to the task to make a AGS compiler for PSP and DS? :lol What would you guys think if someone made a game system port of KQ1VGA, KQ2VGA+, and QFG2VGA?

They are also releasing two others for the Wii:

Freddi Fish - Kelp Seed Mystery

Spy Fox in Dry Cereal

And can't forget Sam & Max Season One for the Wii.

Would be nice if AGS was ported to some of the game systems like PSP or Nintendo DS so we can play some Sierra remakes on the go. :D

From the designer journal dated January 23, 2006 We're also in the process of preparing somewhat of a surprise for the future (two of them, actually) which fans of the first two King's Quest remakes should enjoy, but to say any more at this point would be telling. That was two and a half years ago....

What are the chances of AGS ever being emulated? =S Or ported to other systems? I thought I heard that AGS does have a Mac version but it's outdated... that's really cool, do you know if xbox 360 runs any emulators or scummvm? There seems to be a X-Box port out there, but it's currently not officia...
