Re: Future Version of QFG2VGA (speech maybe)?

I recall a line in QFG4 where the hero's name was used. It was used after Katrina opened the Dark Cave near the end of the game. The line went something like: "That's all I can do, (name). You'll have to do the remaining rituals yourself." I think it was followed up by Ad Avis saying some...

Derek Yu also made one of my favorite independent games ever, Eternal Daughter. You should give it a download, it's a brilliant game. Could have been a classic if it were released in the 16 bit days.

Lucasarts would probably sue you if you wore a Guybrush Threepwood costume to a party.

Anyway, great game as always! Completed it just now and it looks and sounds a lot better than it did. I was wondering if there'd be more AGDI guests at the ceremony at the end. Oh well, I enjoyed it!

Re: King's Quest II: Romancing the Stones v3.0 Released!

Fantastic, so far. It's been so long since I've played it and I intend to play it from start to finish, hopefully getting the full points! Is the Murray easter egg still in there? I repeatedly talked to the skulls outside Hagatha's cave and although I got a response from Bonehead I didn't from the o...

Re: AGDI gains an AGS Award for Quest for Glory 2 VGA

Hmmm, not sure that calling things "a joke" can really be fairly described as "No offense intended". I run the AGS Awards and I never much liked the "booby prize" award that Al Emmo was nominated for. I stopped that award in subsequent years becuase I didn't like the n...

Re: Regarding donations

If you donate $19.99 than you get a free game from Himalaya Studios! https://secure.plimus.com/jsp/branded_store.jsp?developerId=486322 But seriously, if you want to show your support, buying this game will do that as it's AGDI's sister, commercial company. It's run by the same people so it's the be...

http://www.slashfilm.com/2008/10/19/watchmen-ending-changed/ I didn't read much of it but if you google about it you should fine some interesting stuff about it. I'm just curious how it's been done differently, the film so far looks spot on though! And I saw Yes Man when it came out over here, I tho...

Re: AGDI @ The Movies

I saw the trailer for 9. Looks amazingly awesome. I'm looking forward to seeing that on the 9th of September, 2009. ;) I'm going to be watching Watchmen in IMAX hopefully when it comes out, I really can't wait. Read the graphic novel recently and it was very good, obviously can't expect all of it in...

Re: AGDI @ The Movies

Thought I'd renew a movie thread than start a new one. So many greats have recently come out, the Oscars took place, Slumdog Millionaire (which is a fantastic movie) pretty much sweeped up most of the prestigious awards and we're on track to hopefully another good year of films. Hopefully, anyway. S...

Re: Quest for Glory I 2.5D

ZIP it, RAR it, CAB it, TAR it, GZIP it... but for the love of Jebus don't use an installer. It's just more annoying having to install a broken demo, play with it for a few minutes than uninstall it. Compressing it into a self extracting format allows a quick run through and that's it.

Psychonauts is one of the best games ever. I'm glad Yahtzee reviewed it as I'm guessing it's made a few extra sales from Xbox Live Originals. Eagerly waiting Tim's next game, Brutal Legend!

Re: Need phpbb help

Play around with the CSS file. That's how you change the colors, text, styles, etc. If you want to change the color, you need to find the appropriate hex code which is basically a code for a color (normally a six digit code that correlates with a color, #ffffff is white for example) and you can do t...

That is one nice guitar! I bet it sounds as good as it looks! I was thinking, there must be something real special about this axe that made you post pictures...

Can't believe I missed this! I'm always a big fan of your work, Akril so I'll be giving this a try. Looks great from the trailer! Reminds me a little bit of the concept of that new Matt Hazard game, but that doesn't look great anyway. Good work!

Re: Kings quest 2 what features will we get

It's basically a patched version of OSX that is set up to be installed on a PC. It's illegal-ish and you need an actual version of Mac OS X than you use a tool called iDeneb/Hackingtosh which you than burn onto a DVD. You partition your drive into two slots, one for Windows which you leave alone and...

Re: AGDI gains an AGS Award for Quest for Glory 2 VGA

The AGS awards are a joke, it's nice that QFG2VGA got an award but only two nominations? I'm not really one to say as I rarely download any other AGS games but I'm certain QFG2VGA should be nominated for plenty of awards. As I said though, the AGS awards are a bit like the Eurovision song contest, m...

Re: Kings quest 2 what features will we get

There is that way, but dual booting is just better. I have an eeePC (also dual booted with OS X) which I play most of my oldies on anyway. The problem with emulation software like VMWare and Parallels is that XP doesn't always recognize certain drivers and devices. When I tried it, XP didn't even re...

Well, if we're on the subject. One of my favorite snacks are pizza crumpets. Not much to it, just toast the crumpets on a medium setting. Spread tomato puree all over the toasted crumpets. Grate some cheese and sprinkle over. Add some toppings such as tomatos, pepperoni, whatever. Grill for 4 minute...

Other sites have reported it's the adventure game version. I wasn't aware there was another arcade game under the same name, anyway.

Sorry, but are these supposed to be cooking guide raps? I say that because I don't understand what makes Ghetto Pizza so different, just sounds like a microwavable margarita pizza.
