Re: sneaking in inn glitch?
I've encountered a similar pathfinding issue at the Blue Parrot a few times. While trying to walk over to Wilbur (the barkeeper) the Hero would sometimes walk next to Ferrari's table, then go to Wilbur.

Re: Preparing for QFG3 (some spoilers)
The hardest stats in QFG3 to level up are: * Pick Locks (impossible to practice anywhere) Heh. Someone just made the same mistake I did. Pick Locks is practicable. In particular, the chest in the Laibon's Hut can be used to max out (just bring a lot of Pool of Peace water if you've got to go 100 po...

The contained pizza can be used for something else, nothing too big. Just the kind of thing that is expected of a hero with an abundance of pizza :) You can even add something to the pizza as a topping and off some of your favorite NPCs :D well ok, obviously not your FAVOURITE NPCs, otherwise you w...

Heh, I remember Erpy mentioning while the game was still in development how one glitch they struggled with was that the stones would splash on the sand.CGG wrote:throwing rocks in the Oasis (would be cool if you could get one to skip)

Rest and recovery rates
Strange but true: sleeping through the night one hour at a time restores more mana and health than sleeping through the night all at once. Why is this?

You could do number 2 in the original, though that required a cruder "drop shield" approach.

Re: On ghouls and messages
In that case... Could the same be done with the "you are so exhausted everything you do hurts" message for the next version? I have on occasion accidentally managed to get the hero killed with the enter key pressed down. Here's another thing I find odd: Force Bolt, Flame Dart and Fetch can...

Click vs enter
When I step into ghoul vomit the first time with new boots, the message about them enduring only passes with a mouse click. This is rather distracting when focusing on the keyboard in the middle of combat. I have noticed that the game a bit inconsistent in general about when pressing enter equals a ...

Re: Bugs + paladin question.
Personally, the peeping bit affecting paladinhood rubs me the wrong way for a couple of reasons: 1. It feels like an easter egg to me, and those aren't supposed to affect gameplay this much. 2. The connection between the x-ray glasses and the peeping isn't made all that clear in the first place. I'v...

One thing I would like is to have the window of opportunity for blocking extended by another fraction of a second. Press parry the instant you see the enemy prepare for an attack, it is too soon.

The Full Quote was "The Doom from the East has passed and is now between here and Infinity" Funny enough when i first read this, I though Conan the Barbarian and Thulsa Doom. The Infinity was the oasis pool, so it had to be east of the Oasis. no luck so far. 40+ screen If it came from the...

My recipe is this: sneak left and right between two desert screens, and switch to walking or throw some attack when you find something you want to fight.

Re: LateBlt's Let's Play QfG on Youtube
I'm surprised so many are criticizing the portraits and forgetting that Britney and co probably spent hours of (uncompensated) time on them. Ah, I never intended to give the impression I was criticizing the quality, only the choice of style. I do appreciate all the effort that has obviously been pu...

Re: LateBlt's Let's Play QfG on Youtube
I think I will make one more post regarding my views on the portraits and then let it rest. First, I fail to see how the portraits in the first Quest for Glory (VGA remake, I assume) are cartoony. They seem much closer to the style on QfG3 than 4 to me. No baseball-sized eyes there or downturned nos...

Re: Entering the WIT - "Who is the companion of Erusmus?"
That does look like a bug to me. That question is supposed to show up if you tell Aziza Erasmus sent you. First thing you're supposed to be asked in WIT is the name of your character. Try typing that in. As a side not, back when I first played the original I tried responding to the identification de...

Re: LateBlt's Let's Play QfG on Youtube
Wow, I had no idea this thread existed until LateBlt himself mentioned something like this. The one criticism I fully agree with him are the portraits. It's not that they exist in the first place, but the style that irks me. Far too cartoony in my opinion. None of the women look all that attractive,...

I actually had a dream last night about how to find this. I'm afraid it doesn't correspond to the waking world since it involved finding railroad tracks in the desert and following them.

It shows your win-lose stats for various minigames. The two magic games go in there, and the tightrope walking as well, I think.
