Can't complete downloads from KQ1 or KQ2. What's wrong?

Dear Webmaster
Starting from about a week ago, I tried to download the new versions of KQ1 & 2.
The downloads get stuck at 6%
First they continue at a nice pace, but I can't seem to get past the 1.2 MB barrier.
I tried this from two computers (Mac & Windows), From Italy and the Netherlands.
Is this just an overwhelming request load to your site, or is there something else wrong?
I tried using the following browsers: MacOsX: Safari, Firefox. Windows: Firefox, IE.
The files I tried to download were:
KqI, Kq1MusicPack, Kq1Speechpack, Kq2

I don't know if I can download your games (safely!) from another website.
I know your games are great, because I downloaded previous versions, alas with some annoying bugs.

Dear people,

Sorry for having bothered you with this post.
I didn't see the link to the Tech FAQ about trouble with downloading, because it's in vague green.

Have you tried Save Target As? Silly question but this question comes up alot and this usually solves the problem.

Thanks for your reply Broomie,

Actually I tried this. It did not work.
Someway or another, the downloads go choppy, but in the end I got them complete.
About "Silly Questions", I work at a helpdesk, so thesre questions are my bread...

Servers can go down from time to time, but we've recently updated our mirror system to ensure that all links are active and error-free. It may be a problem with your ISP. We also recommend that you use a download manager such as GetRight so that you can resume your download, but make sure that you aren't using segmented or accelerated downloading.
So have you tried that?

Thanks for the replies, I did manage to download everything

Dear AGD enthousiasts,

My ISP rarely causes problems with the througput of files.
I have ADSL, I have either connection (with great speed) or my connection is broken, but I have never experienced hickups on backbone routers on my connection.
It may be that one of the routers on the way experienced a bottleneck situation.
What struck me the most was the fast begin of the download and the sudden cutoff at a certain percentage of the download.
If someone could enlighten on what might have caused this, Id'd be grateful to add this to my knowledge as I am an ADSL engineer.

Sincerely yours,

xyloc
