Even though there's a bug that prevents you from getting back to the overhead map...haha.Erpy wrote:It got changed in QFG3 because QFG3 used an overhead map instead of separate screens for the Savannah and jungle, so once you'd leave that particular scene, it'd be impossible to return to the exact spot and get your stuff back.

I've uploaded a larger and higher quality version of the teaser to Photobucket. For those who are interested (or were having trouble viewing the other version) click here:

Re: Censored?
Luckily, Erpy went on record as saying the censored bar was only for the teaser, not in the full game:ungi wrote:Censored? Come on, your audience has grown older :-). You don't have to care if some prude US chains refuse to carry your game. Make a game worth playing for adults, not for 8-12 years old.

Thanks! It's interesting that the audio quality is twice as good, the video is a larger resolution but it's only an extra 100k in size. I wonder how that happened (was it poorly compressed the first time around)?Anonymous Game Creator 2 wrote:I've uploaded a larger and higher quality version of the teaser to Photobucket. Want to know something ironic?
A long time ago, I sent a PM to AGD2
Look:

Ha! Looks like they changed their minds!Anonymous Game Creator 2 wrote:We don't release demos for our games, as there's really no point. Sierra's QFG games were commercial titles and their rolling demos were used to draw potential customers. Our remakes are non-commercial, so a demo is unnecessary from a sales standpoint -- and redundant from a technology showcase standpoint. Releasing a demo for the sake of teasing people would only make them more impatient to play the game, placing extra pressure on us. This would actually slow progress down significantly.Alliance wrote:Hey, AGD2. I just had a cool idea: why not make a non interactive demo? I mean, almost all the QFG games have short demos that show some animations, talking views, stuff like that. I'm just saying that I'd like to make one for you. I need, like, two dialog pics, a few hero animations, and some backgrounds (plus what you want it to say). I'll make one if you want one. I just need some resources.
Also, if you do let me make the demo, you could post it on your site, since some people have been waiting a while, and a good teaser demo would satisfy them till the full game comes out.
Just my thoughts.
Aside from that, for legal reasons, we cannot give away resources from the game to anyone who's not on our development team. Don't worry, though, the game is coming!

I know thread is a bit old, but Quest for Glory I, II, and III are available at http://www.gametap.com. It's not free; you have to pay a monthly rate to access the games. But it is a legal alternative to buying the software off E-bay.Fribbi wrote: I know the only possible way to get the legal copy of this game is in Ebay but there is not many copies there but you can still get the game in unlegally site. Please forgive me fans but I am not going to tell you where it is. I don't want it to be closed. I will hate Vivendi more for doing that again. But as you know many fans here don't use ebay and those game are so rare and is very hard to get now today. How are you going to deal with that?

Dang
Yeah, the trailer looks awesome. I always thought Trial by Fire made for the best story of the 5. I'll be waiting on more from this.

I wouldn't call that an inconsistancy at all; QFG1VGA came out in 1991 or 1992, after the release of QFG2.Adventure_Knight wrote:The inconsistence is only on QFG1VGA, at the end of that game when the hero is flying to Shapeir with Abdulla Doo and the kattas, the hero wears the clothes from QFG3 when a cape, but at the beggining of QFG2, the hero has the clothes from QFG1EGA.
It's more of a retcon error on Sierra's part... however, Erpy addressed the issue, and the QFG1VGA costume will appear in THIS VGA remake. Ultimately retconning the retcon... wow. This is a useless post.
