The Wating Game....Have you ever played it ?

Thanks for the update in the designer journals!
They certainly keep us (Your Fans & Free Loading Game Players)
going in the wait for QFG2.
There has certainly been a lot of moaning on your forums over
the last few months about it's delivery into free loading game
players hot little hands.
Even i made a mention of wanting to see a Demo.
(Which i still think is a great idea by the way)
But so long as you keep those updates coming, even if it's just a few lines
here and there, Fans & FLGP's alike will continue to flock your website
until it's done.
In fact i bet you could even set up a donation page, if you offered
an early unfinished version of the game to donors...
(Well Maybe not)
Anyway enough about QFG2, i was reading the other day on your
forum that there had been some Alpha Art for a Space Quest 2 Remake,
It was all for the purpose of testing abilities of budding background artists
to get that VGA / Sierra Style.
I think it was some time back that this all happened
(Maybe 2 years ago) and i was wondering if anything ever happened with it,
did someone have a crack at making a game etc...
I think one team may have put their hand up but it looks like they
may have dropped out of the race....
It would seem a shame to see all that work go to waste, especially
if a lot of the backgrounds where finished or near completion.
I think it would be awesome if someone set up a repository for the back
ground at AGS or at AGDI so that some future developer could have ago
at putting it all together.
It would probably only take a few months to do, being mostly the sprite work,
scripting and sound and being that it was a small and linear game
it probably wouldn't be too hard get off the ground..
(In saying that, i have never programmed or done any sprite work,
i make these assumptions based on people who have experience
and it would probably take me years if i did it etc..)
Any legends out there who want to see the SQ2 VGA,
on the way ? or know of anyone who has taken up the challenge ?
