I haven't really seen Cyricz around the gamefaqs boards anymore. I do think highly of his walkthroughs as well. In fact, I used his walkthrough while implementing the point system in QFG2VGA.
You should be fine using an EGA walkthrough for the most part, although whatever "sideline"-stuff was added to QFG2VGA will obviously not be in there. Might be a good thing too...we wouldn't want to spoil people.

I haven't followed the GameFAQs message boards in years but CyricZ did recently put out a Lego Indiana Jones FAQ that helped me find a couple of well-hidden treasure chests. Its funny cause I've used probably a dozen of his FAQs for non-QFG games and I always do a double-take when I'm reading the header of the file and notice he wrote it.Erpy wrote:I haven't really seen Cyricz around the gamefaqs boards anymore. Yeah, CyricZ has done some great work for the QfG series guides - the only issues I've ever seen are the classic problems with points. He just put up a guide for the Strong Bad game yesterday, too.

When I had a question about if it is allowed to talk about this project on Gamefaqs (new rules bar talk on homebrew games), it was CyricZ that reassured me that it was still ok .
He is an excellent GF mod and it seems that he is watching the project closely too!

Why wouldn't it be ok? It isn't a homebrew game.

I think they meant unlicensed homebrew mods and games for the PSP and such.

Actually I usually use a walkthrough at a point of no return in the game just to verify I have done everything worth doing for the perticular character, like for eg in QFG4 once you get the note from katrina and answer it. And CyricZ walkthroughs are so detailed about almost every aspect of the QFG games that it's actually quite fun to go through them at that point. I wouldn't call this spoiling but a way to make sure people notice and appreciate all the extra sideline stuff that has been added in QFG2 VGA. Also EGA will be w.r.t keyboard and VGA will be point click mouse actions. That might make a bit difference too. Not having a CyricZ walkthroughs for QFG 2 VGA will be the only dampner at it's release, atleast for me. I do wish he was active on net and you emailed him for it.Erpy wrote:I haven't really seen Cyricz around the gamefaqs boards anymore. I do think highly of his walkthroughs as well.
