Question about engine

Just wondering if you were starting qfg2 from scratch would you still choose to use the ags engine?

Also if you were to make an original game in the style of qfg how much time do you think you would have saved with your knowledge and code from the qfg2 project?

I think we'd still go with AGS. The majority of stuff in QFG2 wasn't über hard to script...it just took a long time and is prone to glitches due to oversights.

And I would argue that this sort of experience certainly counts as valuable. Even if there'd be no practical usage of it, at least we have a better understanding on how much work this kind of thing really takes.
