Update to all fans, play QFG1 first

I think we all should play through QFG1 with every character and have imports for each.
Collectively, that should give our people here six or so months.

Heh Heh. Just kidding.

Keep up the work guys, I am still waiting for QFG2VGA.exe.

If the programmers were up to the Earth Elemental in September, they are probably working the bugs out of the forbidden city at this point.

I love that part. I hope you guys do it well. The music alone in that chapter is awesome.
And the endscenes, they should be spectacular when this thing is finally released!

I can't wait, send me a demo or something.

I really wish it worked like this. Unfortunately, it doesn't.

When it officially reaches beta, then we can giddily say it's getting close.  ;)

And by getting close, he means that there'll only be a few months left if we're lucky.

I've lost count of how many characters I've prepared for import into this QFG2. Usually, I just put them through QFG2EGA and then play the rest of the series after that, because I prefer to see a character from beginning to end all in rapid sequence.

I can't play quest for glory 1 VGA because I only got a copy of it on floppy diskettes and my computer doesn't have a floppy driver. The computer are not sold with floppy drivers now :cry Only DVD drivers.

But now I have seen lately some old classic Sierra game like Leisure suit Larry, Police Quest and King Quest on icelandic computer market called BT. But I noticed there is no Quest for glory series there. I wonder why. :hat

Fribs, they still sell USB-floppy drives in computer stores. If your computer doesn't have a built-in floppy drive and you still have a lot of stuff on floppies, you should consider buying one. (or, if you know someone who owns one, you could borrow it and transfer all stuff to CD/DVD)

I already know I can buy a floppy driver for my computer. But they are very rare now. I will think about it later in next year.  I got no friend who own the copy of the game. :\

Hmmm... that's an interesting one...

If one owns the original floppy versions of the game (and can't use it due to... unavailability of a floppy-drive), would it still be considered illegal if you download it from the net? :)

To the Icelandic Sierra fan,

If you are playing the old ones on a new PC, that is your issue, not the floppy drive.

Find an old PC 386-Pentium 2, and load all of your classics on that!

Or shop Ebay for an old PC.

These games are not meant for flat screen monitors and optical mice.

No I woud rather wait until it will be released again on DVD or cd box version so I can buy the games...again. The quest for glory 1-2-3 is the only sierra quest game I own on floppy diskettes. The other is a collection version wich I own on CD version. ;)

All of the old computers end in recycle bin or a given to poor countries. Nobody sell a old computer in Iceland now. The computers always end in trash hill or somewhere they can rest in peace  :(

I never shop on internet because I don't own a credit card. I only use debet hehe. :D

Have no worries about this. I really don't need Quest for glory 1 VGA.

I think AGDinteractive could include a character file from QFG 1 wich I can use to import in the Quest for glory 2 VGA game. That would be cool idea and it should not even take to many mb right? ;)

Why? You can simply create a new character....

Playing an imported character is nothing more (really) than personal satisfaction... knowing you've come some way with the character. Doesn't really mean anything more than that. Oh, the points will probably be a bit lower, but QfG2 isn't exactly the most difficult game to raise your skills.
