Just a little thank you

#1 Post by Shpaa » Mon Jan 14, 2008 10:27 pm

Hi there

I just want to give a big thank you to all the people behind AGDI. I used to play all quest-games on my Amiga when I was around 9-13 years old (those games taught me more English then my English teacher, but my mom didn't like what I learned from Larry), and to be able to play them again in better graphics and speech is just amazing.

But anyway, THANK YOU GUYS AND GIRLS for everything so far!!!

I hear that often from people - "I improved my English from playing adventure games."

I think that's really cool - I know that as a kid, my writing skills improved because of playing games like King's Quest.  Makes me miss the parser in games - though I do like the mouse interface.  I think a combination of both would be amazing.

I learned to spell/type/read by playing SQ2 and the like. I remember waking up my parents in the early hours of the morning asking how to spell "suit".

I may have said that a hundred times on this forum already, though.

If we could create a few hi-res adventure games, but with parsers, we could start selling it as teaching tools.  :p
