Yes, just the people who were put on the testing team received word. If you didn't get an email from me yesterday about it, you'll have to wait a bit longer to get to see the game.

How will you keep the game secure so that the beta doesn't leak to the internet?

Each game comes with a hidden serial number, attributed to a certain tester.

Of course, that's PURE speculation.

But it's what I would do.

Do ou mean "who is Summer?" or do you mean "whose summer?" as in northern or southern hemisphere? I expect he meant northern. But it might come out before then, since beta-testing started nearly a month ago.

I've checked this website once every 3 months for the last 2 years or so waiting for this game, so I guess you could say I'm a lurker.  Anyhoo, how do they choose who gets to test the beta?

Potential testers had to include (with their application) a log book of all hours spent in the sand box when they were little.

Hopefully, nobody will notice that our version of QfG2 fell short of the sand quota. Can you believe they charge for that stuff?

I mean, we pushed and pushed for more Dunes... and all we got was some flimsy copyright excuse.

Who's summer?

No, this is just what I say every year around this time (Feb-April) it just expresses my gut feeling that the game will be ready for launch somewhere during Summer.

And since Beta testing has started, I'm really hoping that it's gonna be ready in several months.
