Don't let Bt pull your leg, kosch. He's just kidding, despite what he says. Watch. He'll probably deny my proposition of farce intent on his part like the old sarcastic American he is.

. . .like the old sarcastic American he is.
Heh, I'm American too. One of the biggest problems with my country is patriots who think the entire world should be the same as America. ~_~ The thing about the internet belonging to America, I can only hope that was a joke too. Even then It's not very funny.

Sarcasm can be extremely offensive. I'd be discouraged If someone said something like he did about Eriq's work about mine. I'm pretty sure he doesn't appreciate it. Of course I could be completely wrong. Maybe It doesn't bother him at all. I mean Eriq is obviously doing something right! :)

Yeh, we kind of have an unwritten clause in our forum rules which states: No cussing, no flaming, no dissing.... unless your username is Blackthorne519. :rollin

kosh, don't worry, if you've known Bt as long as we have, you'd know (as we do) that he's just having a joke. ;)

If anything he's making fun of the people who were complaining a couple weeks ago.

I am, of course, just joking around. That's for all the wonderful newbies that are showing up in anticipation for QFG2VGA.

I will personally state that I am a "fan" of Eriq's work, and that I love the new design in spades. I really don't have any criticism on the art work or the new page. I think it looks great, and I'm rather excited about all the activity in these parts. It's going to be real fun to play the new game and talk about it here with all the people that have been posting lately.

So, with that, redesign everything or I shall hold a protest, and I will only post 20 new posts a day as opposed to 30. I hope you can live with that punishment.

Jeez thats a little harsh. It's not obvious. and Eriq rawks. I don't care what anyone says, I'm grateful to have one of the best working on this site because I care about the overall outcome of this project. Who wants an average website for one of the biggest things about to happen to adventure games? Not me :)
you really dont know BT do you? the key to him is dry sarcastic-blunt humor ie he was joking Eriq knows that

BT's Rules:

2) If his mouth is closed, expect deeper sarcasm
3) If you cannot handle sarcasm, ignore BT
4) If you ignore BT, expect sarcasm directed to you

Wow BT tbh im really impressed
You've become some what of a legend of these forums, you must be very proud
an entire page of a thread is all about you.

Tbh i always got your sarchasm even from the days before i joined, but i gotta admit, it can be mighty hard to tell with some sarchasm on the web, i reckon that form of humour focuses SO MUCH on facial expressions and body language.
Plus tone of voice of course. Did you ever offend any people here greatly before they understood you were just 'joshing'?

For some reason, I really like that particular misspelling of sarcasm...

Yeah, you'll offend some people, but if you all stick around, you get to know each other in the end. I'm a bit cranky, sure. But I got your back.

Ewww i feel like a douchebag for sure. Considering I am focussing on english as my main study for the last years of school and into university, I'm pretty ashamed that i managed to spell it incorrectly multiple times in one reply. My only excuse is that I typed that into the early hours of the morning and i had just got back from a party at which a fair amount of alcohol had been consumed.

In fact, there's a point, if I am coming on the AGDI forums as soon as i get home from a party, you know how much you guys are appreciated!

Oh Man, glad I'm not the only one! I scanned my last round of Fanart while drinking at a friend's place (And drew the second picture there actually...)
I had to check and double check my spelling to make sure I wasn't making an ass of myself!

Hehe :)
tell you what though, i reckon i missed a trick there.

Could have claimed that the sar'CHASM' bit was symbolising the large distance between the two parties involved in the sarcasm, therefore claiming that i did it on purpose..
Damn

i feel like signing up an account just to give a comment on this.. if AGD / Himalaya Studios wants to be successful, they can't really treat their poster (potential customers) like this..

all the op did was comment that he/she can't see the main page properly, and he doesn't like the arts.

result? you have people bashing him/her saying he's a newbie, etc... this follow up with 3 pages of you 'old-timer' and even developer making jokes about it.

do you think the OP will actually buy your product now or in the future?? certainly i will not buy any product from you.

It's the nature of fanboy/fangirl behaviour. Criticism is perceived as a personal attack. People who are perceived to have offended one's idols need to be punished or ridiculed. It is annoying, but you shouldn't take it seriously.

Besides, you should judge art on its own merits, not on the merits of the artists or the fans. I wouldn't let it put you off playing or even buying the products of the AGDs or Himalaya Studios, if I were you.
