All the old school Sierra adventure games bring up some sweet nostalgic memories.
I am bewildered at how someone can put so much effort and energy into something so small, and give it significance.

Being able to ignore the fact that "its just some old game not worth the time to remake, anyone who'd approach such a massive undertaking must be a serious nerd", most importantly, finishing what you start (over 8 years!) and finally wrapping up this project as a generous gift to all us nostalgic fans ....pretty remarkable.

Honestly, I'm afraid I'll be disappointed. It seems a game with prettier vga graphics and the classic mouse controlled interface will be the same old qfg2 and it'll get predictable after awhile.

And yet I'm inexplicably excited about this because QFG2VGA I remember had the best story/style/atmosphere of all the games and I'm looking forward to seeing it all in rejuvenated dazzling presentation. An archaic game reborn. Should be interesting to say the least ;)

Hmmm... would a nerd have enough time to take on something like this. Hmmm... in my view it would be something completely opposite to a nerd, but heck... there doesn't seem to be a real definition for it. It seems to be one of those words that people use in any way they want.

Thanks...somewhat...I think.

Other than the fact your words could be interpreted as the game not having been worth remaking, commitment is called obsession, you're afraid after all the work the game will not be worth the wait and we must have been nerds in order to make this game rather than spend time on more interesting things in life, we're flattered. ;)

Yeah... that's what he said...
Must be some kind of emotion suppressing the higher cerebral functions. :p

Haha, aww im sure thats not what he meant.
Was probably trying to make a moving speech expressing his gratitude, but didn't quite know how to write it.

I think he does mean for the overall gist of that to be positive.

Even if this release were just an exact copy of the original with prettier graphics and point and click interface, I'd still be super hyped. I've often thought, "I love QfG2, but sometimes I wish I could just point and click! And those graphics..." I may never play the original again! :)

I don't really agree with the rest of what you said, you're judgment of the creators of this remake was loose and pretty shallow...

But I think I do know what you mean here, and I agree that the Sierra games of old are very nostalgic... But you're right after 20 minutes or so, I will kinda be all this is the same old QFG2... I wish this game was QFG6, but I can't always get what I wish for... But even if the game was weaker than QFG5 in graphics and sound and looked more like 4, I would be really excited...

I dunno if that's what you meant though, you might have meant that you were tired of any new adventure game. I just meant, that even though I will be really happy that they remade QFG2, at the same time it will piss me off that they were not aloud to make a QFG6. I hope the authors take that as a compliment, because I really mean it as one...
