There's been a "preview" on YouTube for a while.

Plus there always is the original 1990 release. As good a "preview" as any.

I have never been so torn in my entire life! I've been waiting for this for what seems like most of my life but my friends are leaving for uni and want to hang out tonight AND another friend wants me to go play Metal Gear Solid 4 over there... anyone whose read my posts in the gamer threads knows I love my MGS but I like QFG too... and friends sometimes. I don't know what to do tonight and I'm freakin' right out!

When in doubt, go with friends. Especially friends who are leaving soon.

As someone who has done the "wait outside Best Buy on console launch day" and has sat refreshing websites for 16 hours straight waiting for a release, I can unconditionally say you should go hang out with your friends.

There is no way of knowing when the actual release will occur, it could easily by hours and hours from now. And tomorrow it'll still be there, released and available.

You said your friends are leaving for University, they won't necessarily be around tomorrow, take the opportunity to hang out with them now. That'll likely be much more memorable in ten years than the fact you were playing a video game at luanch minute ;)

Seriously, go hang out with your friends. You'll still be able to get the game later, better to do now the thing that you CAN'T do later.

It's 8:12, US Central Time.

I think I'm going to die from the excitement.

I became slightly hysterical when the front page told me today is the game's release date.

I work for the county early tomorrow. I guess I'm pulling another all-nighter.

This is a momentous occasion!

Why do you have that demo uploaded so many times on your website?

(off topic : why is there a casino link in the top of the front page? It seems rather... spam-ish?)

I'm pretty sure they run ads on their webspace to pay for said webspace. There's nothing wrong with that. It's not like they even have really obnoxious, blinky ads with sound effects, so... *shrug*

I just hadnt noticed it before, and thought it wasn't supposed to be there. I'd prefer that form of advertising than the other for sure! :)

Yeah, that little ad pays for our webserver and webspace, so that's the answer to that.

I apologize if this seems like I am critical or condescending towards others, but I've never been one to "wait on a big opening." I m ean, you'd never had caught me at the "first day" they sold a PS3 or a Xbox 360 ro anything like that. Or any game. I'm too impatient in that respect. I hate waiting in lines. I hate waiting online here. So I just go off and check back.

I know not everyone is the same, it just something I find odd, thats all. Sorry if this insults some folk
