I think that AGDI should remake Simon the Sorcerer 3D next i didn't like this game because of all the arcade actions added to this game.So please remake Simon the Sorcerer 3D as a pure adventure game.

I'm sure that's on AGDI's (never) to-do list. Reason why? Well, Simon the Sorcerer is still under copyright and AGDI won't go through the hassle of remaking a game purely because of it's shoddyness or bugs, especially when the demand is so little. If they won't remake Quest for Glory 4 for the same kind of reasons (although we all know that QFG4 is on a completely different par to StS3D) than there is little chance for Simon.

But there is a fourth game coming out so you're not completely out of luck. Sadly, they turned Simon American which is just plain wrong.

Besides, I think AGDI can only do Sierra remakes because of their license agreement with Vivendi.

Out of curiosity, does that "Sierra only" clause extend to companies that Sierra owned, like Dynamix? Could you do a remake of Willy Beamish for example? (Not that you would need to already being a VGA game, but I hope you get my point...)

Hmm yes, that's a good question.

Uh ... I think that AGDI is done making remakes. That supersedes any other concern (such as copyright).

I am curious, though, what they have plans for next.

No AGDI does not remake Sierra titles per a universal Vivendi agreement. The agreement, or the limited license, allows them to make and distribute a certain title. So for each game that they released they needed an individual license. Unless, and I highly doubt it, Vivendi would give them an entire Sierra collection license. This is very doubtful because no sane company would allow such future rights because suppose they want to revive a given series, now they have you to deal with. Moreover they have to worry about their own brand name, suppose you remake another Sierra game but the remake label is merely illusory and you really are publishing an entirely different title. Not much they would be able to do if you have a universal catalog. (Put differently, you use the same characters and universe but bring it highly out of context. Think QFG as a 3rd shooter or something else radical along those lines.) This logic applies to all publishing/developing contracts unless, the developer wants to drop serious bucks to buy franchise rights. (Think Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter). So to wrap it up it, companies will very rarely and only for substantial compensation license an entire franchise let alone a complete company catalog. Hell, the Coles could not even buy the QfG rights from Vivendi which has absolutely no incentive for developing them. Indeed, they arguably have more incentive to sit on their rights to avoid competition. (maybe World of Glorianna v. World of Warcraft.)

A Simon the Sorcerer 3D remake is already in the works. It's just called Simon the Sorcerer 3, since that's what "Simon the Sorcerer 3D" minus "D" equals. ;)

I've never even played this game. Is it worth it?
