They won't make a Fan Sequel.

I believe they are developing their own new adventure game.

And I hope it's 300x200 old school, and has no funny stuff in it.........
Like, 3D Poser characters or some crap! SHUDDER!

3D Intro's are okay, though. Wicked Relight. Wicked.

Default poser characters stand for ultimate lameness as far as animations are concerned, but 3D animations DO have the potential to look very good, even in a 2D game.

Well, I'm not AGDI but unlike BT, Relight & Erpy I read your question. :lol
I can say that I always thought about making a SQ-fangame: "Space Quest X - The Latex Babes of Estros". That would be a game! I'm sure Erpy would love to make a GK-fangame or a QfG4-spin off. :)

I once thought about making a fan game based on KQ6. If you are familiar with the "Guide to the Green Isles", you'll know it was written by a guy named Derek Karlavaegen. IIRC, he'd come from Daventry, but had been stranded on the Green Isles by a ship wreck. I'd thought about making a game based on him, where you could explore the Green Isles 20 years before Alex ever got there. You could meet Cassima as a girl, the ferry captain's father (and him as a small child), ect.

Never really got further than that.

Well, yes of course, I have thought of a Fan Sequel.

I thought of this game where you went back to Spielburg, 20 years after Quest For Glory I, but instead of a Hero, you played a "less-than-savory" type.......... I called it "Quest For Infamy"

And now it's in production!!!

That's the biggest reason I was disappointed with the death of the Quest games. The fact that Space Quest IV mentioned several future games. I would have loved to play them, especially since you'd probably see Roger from the past walking around.

King's Quest ending didn't really disappoint me. The main family were all married off and happy, so it was basically over anyway. Quest for Glory was finished. Larry had finally stopped looking for love and was just sleeping with every woman he could find, as he should :P . Police Quest 4 had already signalled the end of Police Quest by changing from Sonny Bonds to the real world. But Space Quest just seems unfinished to me (then again, I haven't played SQ6 since it went out of shops before I could buy it).

IIRC, Rosella didn't get married.

You're right, Jafar. Rosella did not get married at the end of KQ7; she was being courted by Prince Edgar (presuming, of course, you get the good ending).

Yeah, but this is King's Quest. There is only "true love" relationships allowed. So she is as good as married.

Yes, but Graham never found an heir to his thrown. This seemed to be an on-going theme throughout the series. Sure, he may or may not have found one in KQ2VGA, but still....

Naw, he didn't. Everybody knows that the Madness of King Graham is the real ending of that scene. :)

Poor Graham. All his kids ditched him, and his only parser adventure involved an annoying owl sidekick.

Really not that difficult to see how the madness crept up on him. Sad, really.

All those Sierra games is always leaving a questions in the end of the game. Maybe that's why they are called Quest games. :lol

I think that Space Quest X: The latex babes of Estros is a good idea. Very original where you could play a Zondra? Cool idea man. :D

Latex Babes.... :eek Can't wait for that one Hollister Man whips his army of adventure-making monkeys 'Get to work!')

I've got the first three 'chapters' of MoE re-written without all that battle crap, in case anyone cares. :) Been working on a remake for ages, but never have got good enough at the backgrounds to make much headway. I think Connor will still battle a bit, but it won't be necessary. He could bash his way through a henchman, or roll a big old grindstone on top of it instead. Several major moral decisions to make.

It will be more like KQ2:RTS than a direct remake, since the original is so barren. I've got some majorly non-linear plans for the swamps (based on a rumor I heard concerning the original plot) I think, if I ever get it done, it will be very fun to play. Maybe not different endings, but there are at least 3 completely different paths through the swamp, depending on what inventory items you have.

Of course, this is all depending on the completion of the game, right? We'll see what actually happens. 'You adventure monkeys better get cracking back there'

That's actually not a bad idea, MI. HM, will you more acturately integrate the mythos of the previous KQ games into this MoE remake (for example, Samhain in charge of the Dimension of Death)?
