I am sure you have received many posts from people like myself who loved playing the King's Quest titles and other "old" point and click adventures, but I wanted to let you know that I am THRILLED to have found AGDI. Being able to relive the classics is a joy.
Again, thanks a million!

Yeah... welcome! Stick around! We're all waiting to see if AGDI will make the 'end-of-year' deadline. They probably won't!! Hehe!

COUNTDOWN: 72 days

Uh, there is no date for QFG2... I thought they said they were aiming at early 2005.

And welcome to the forums, Markolicious! :D

No, we probably won't. But 2005 will yield multiple games by our development team, so we kinda make up for it.

What other games? I'm only aware of QFG2 VGA.

Although I doubt they'll be able to finish another game within next year if QfG2 took this long.

I was just joking about the end of the year. Although with AGDI you should probably expect the unexpected.

Hey! Nice site! :)

Not quite the game-name we guessed in that competition, but I like the new name better. :)

Yes, the name to guess turned out to be the working title of the project...West Quest. (don't remember the subtitle) Since that sounded a bit too cheesy and too Sierra-like (not to mention the fact I believe it was already registered as a trademark), we changed it.

(but if you look at the game's site, you still see it's called wq.html)

Yeah... the 'Quest' title has been dried out to the bone. :) The new title sounds more like a modern game. :)

Hey... I thought that it was against AGDI policy to put up release dates. But the site now says this:

10/06/04 Update: QFG2VGA will be released before mid-2005.

That's just not on :P

Absolutely. For a game as great as QFG2, they should take their time and release it after mid-2005. :rollin

Thanks for giving us a little bit more time, guys. :p

As the latest update says, we're still working on it every single day.

Heh. Nice Himalaya site, guys. The game looks quite excellent. Wicked backgrounds, and sprites. I look forward to the game.

Wow! This is great news! The game does look mighty excellent! I must say I expected something completely different than a western game you guys would be making :).

Actually the thing looks like a cross between Gold Rush and Leisure Suit Larry to me. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing.

West Quest?! The name... Its so...so...CORNY! :lol
Looks good though. The main character seems to be 3d. Looks a little weird, but I can get used to it.

Hmmm... Look at all the people raising their hands! Not even one of you die-hard AGDI-fans visited the Himalayastudios site before it was put on hold? Shame on you!! 8o

Yeah, that's one of the reasons why it was changed. It's not just the main character as a 3D model, btw. All characters are 3D rendered models. They allow for a lot smoother animation that simple sprites and redoing animations from a different angle is a lot easier in 3D.

And yeah, Gron, I remember you posting on the old Himalaya board. (the Yabb-based one) You were using some Hero6-character as your avatar.

Heh. Yeah. :) It's the pic of Hero6's blacksmith. My favourite of all the characters. :)

Havnt you played Broken Sword 3, Grim Fandango, Wanted: A Wild West Adventure etc they all have 3D characters and they're great!! (In fact Wanted: A Wild West Adventure is totally 3D and mouse controlled!)
