I won't be leaving.

I want to see what else these guys cook up after QFG2 is released.

I understand everyone's impatience to have QFG2 finished but what happens afterword? We all go back to our normal lives until they announce a new game that we spend another 2 years waiting for.

We all wait not to "go back to normal lives", we are anxious to play it!  ;)

I was just wondering though after this game get's released what happens next? I think a lot of people will just stop coming here after the game is released because they will have gotten what they wanted. Also any word on making a QFG2 board early?
and he responds with
I understand everyone's impatience to have QFG2 finished but what happens afterword? We all go back to our normal lives until they announce a new game that we spend another 2 years waiting for.

If you haven't yet, read the news update. The game is coming closer...

What else? Spend 2 years playing QFG2 over and over with every character. With OUT a walkthrough.  ;)

Well it's been a while since I checked in.  I was waiting untill after christmas, hopeing it could come out.  Not really complaining though.  First off, this is a free game, they aren't makeing any money off it.  Second I prefer quality over quantity, I'd rather them take 2 years to develope and release an AWSOME game, than have 2 games in one year and both of them be crappy.  I for one loved what they did with KQI and KQII.  I shall still wait with baited breath for QFG

at no cost to you but at cost to us. You can trust that we are working very hard on this game and that the longer development time means that you will be getting a better game when it does release.
Out of curiosity...what IS your approximate expenses creating this game so far? The King's Quest remakes?
And I'm really curious -- was getting voice actors [for kq1 & 2] a costly endeavour?

Might make everyone a bit more patient [though no less eager!] if we all know how much you all are sacrificing to make these games happen. ;)

Ever heard of the expression "Time is Money"? Imagine losing 3-7 hours of your day for 2-5 years. Do the maths how much time was used.

Obviously each participant needed to purchase a certain amount of hardware and software, and some even the hosting. But I doubt that's what they mean with 'cost'.

Something probably got lost in translation.  :p

check the memberlist and you'll see the names of people that were here for 2 years and people who gave up after so many. I believe rambaldi joined in 2001 and left in late 2004. For me it's more coming here to interact iwth various interesting personalities than to acomplish anything. like this: Bt is a witty bastard, Braniac and Spikey are psycological wonders, VampgelusD3K are the only people on these forums to have actually meat and are often the centre of the major threads, Jafar has his own original comedic style, Broomie is loyal to the end, and the AGDs are our new gods. I think that can hold my attention for awhile

I've been around since 2002, and I'm not planning on leaving yet... The community is very comfortable, sometimes I just forget we're awaiting that game, what's the name again?  :lol
