This is strange. Every time I try to open the third page of this thread, I get the following prompt:

OFF-TOPIC: Strategy First, they make good games. Hard to find, but they're good games.

ON-TOPIC: Don't know what would be causing it. I had a problem for awhile where it wouldn't let me reply to anything. What browser are you using?

The strategyfist-issue was caused by someone's avatar. I removed the avatar in order to fix it.

Haha! Let me say somthing.... I was right, I was right, I was right hahaha!  :rollin I mean comeon its taking this long to remake a Quest for Glory II VGA Remake. Are you sure your not working on any secret projects or do you guys have busy lives instead of focusing on the game.

I been waiting an eternity for this game to come out but the years keep going by. Were all getting older and some of us just won't care as much when it does come out.  :\

Anyway, amuse me so I don't have to pull my hair out anymore. lol

Correct me if I am wrong team....but people like you make developers not want to finish the game.
Be patient, be respectful, be thankful.

I want the game just as much as the next guy, but I can not complain about a free game.

Out of curiousity...what if we had? What would be your advice in case real life demanded some time too?
Anyway, amuse me so I don't have to pull my hair out anymore. lol
The game will be finished eventually. Having to finish it is a lot more work than just sitting there, pulling your hair and believing you're making a difference that way.

I havn't griped much about when this game is going to eventually come out, but would a percenatge of completion be a decent thing to ask for?

Well, they said they're into the alpha, so the game itself is complete, they're busy bug testing and doing some tweaking. Then comes beta-testing... I don't think it's possible to give a percentage if you don't know where the problems are...

Still though, I mean there must be some kind of general timeframe it'll take (months, years, etc.) so take that time and divide by that time plus the time its taken = percentage :)

... how do you get a percentage from that?

Give an example (make your own estimate)... then you'll have your answer.  :p

Let run with your idea.  Lets say each bug takes a day.
1day multiply xbugs=Time till release.

However x is unknown.  There could be 2 bugs or 200 bugs.  So they might be 1% or 99% done.  They may have no clue to when they will be done.

It will never be done and they only made a teaser trailer and screenshots just to mess with our heads!

Ha ha. Ya I understand that man, and I'm not saying that the number of bugs is predictable, simply that there must be and average amount of bugs found in VGA remakes. So you would sub that in for the amount of bugs and give an approximation of the percentage. :p

Really?  How many VGA remakes have you done?

I want to know when it will be released too.  But these questions just slow them down.  Maybe if we all shut up they will have it done by Christmas!  :D

The thing about bugs are you don't know how many there are until they appear.

It won't be a public release. They'll do alpha testing (in-house) and then they'll hire people for beta testing (limited release only to people they select for the job). After all (hopefully) of the bugs are sorted out, THEN they'll release it to the public.

Just read the website if you wanna know when it will be released...
When will the Quest For Glory II VGA remake be released?
Right now, we're not exactly sure when we will release QFG2VGA. It is currently slated for a 2006 release.
I think it will AGDI's Christmas gift to us.  Right?  :) [/quote]
