We once held a poll ourselves. If we'd want to release another remake project, we'd take those results in account, most likely.

Link is here.

Of course, AGDI is a fundamental democracy, and if everybody votes for them to remake Legend of Kyrandia using ASCII graphics, I'm sure they will comply.
Oops sorry, my sarcasm-detector just broke :)

(Which is exactly why we didn't include the option you mentioned. :p)

Anyway, I said "take into account", rather than "follow up without thinking for ourselves". In the end, those results have as much meaning as we wish to give them. And in the end, those devoting time on something will be the ones who get to pick what they're going to spend time on.

and why didnt you include SQ2 VGA, SQ3 VGA or Larry 3 VGA
The poll was closed because it ended up as a second random rants-thread of sorts and I figured having it on the first page of the forum for a year without needing to stick it was long enough. There's over 1000 votes in there anyway.

SQ2VGA wasn't included because that was the secret project and was cancelled as stated in the first or second page. And it was cancelled because both Kippesoep's project and ours were planned to be 1:1 remakes and the scripter of our project went MIA.

We didn't really feel like creating a VGA-version of a sequel while there was still a prequel that was EGA-only, hence the exclusion of LSL3VGA and SQ3VGA.

Oh great.  Another one of these threads.

The search function is TOTALLY helpful!

Do the AGD's really plan to do another remake? Surely they'd wanna do sumthin else other than remakes right?

Because free games are great publicity. Like it has been said a bazillion times before. AGDI has not ruled out the possiblity.

Perhaps you haven't read very much on the Himalaya site. That team consists of way more than two people.

Sure the AGD's are the projects leads but I'm sure it would be alot harder for them to do it without the support and work of other team mates.

That doesn't even make sense!?!?!?

Let's worry about "what AGDI is going to do next" AFTER QFG2VGA comes out... I mean, the ink isn't even released on that one, let alone fresh!  Eh? Eh?

Eh, Rog, the AGD'ers, along with their team, ARE working on two projects (Al Emmo and QfG) and making good progress. So what exactly is your point?

Why remake when you could work on an original project? I'd be personally much more excited to play something along those lines.

Me too. But if you can do an original project AND remake, well then THAT'S not too bad at all :).

Well, if AGDinteractive starts making games for profit, I'll be in the line to buy some. ;)

AGDInteractive won't ever. But Himalaya Studios will and are.
